I smooth my black straight dress down, and tuck my hair behind my ears, and look around the table.

Peter sits next to me on my right, and Tate on my left. Farther down the right side, next to Peter, sits my Mother who is busy disciplining him on how to fold his napkin and put it on his lap. Next to Tate, my dad sits straight backed, looking quite uncomfortable. And at the two last seats next my mother and father, Rosa and Robin Ness sit across from each other. And lastly sitting on the other end of the table, directly across from me is the Mayor.

"I suppose we should eat now?" The Mayor suggests.

Some servers come over, and put platters on the long table.

As soon as my brothers have seen the roast chicken, rice, green beans, carrots, and bright salad, they reach and serve themsleves rather sloppily if I could say that myself.

By the time the bowls and platters reach me my stomache is growling and there is almost half of whatever food there was left.

I glance curiously over at my two brothers scarfing down their food at a very fast pace, and also noisily.

When I glanced over at them, my mom and dad followed, then Rosa and the Mayor. We watched as Peter stuffed a giant tomatoe in his mouth and that set us off laughing.

Peter immediatly looked up and blushed crimson red, as well as Tate.

Two hours later it was time for the Tour of the House.

I trembled with excitement, this was also my first time to see all the different wings!

First we went through the cafeteria and met the chefs and all. Next was the ballrooms and all the  Training rooms. A Hair Salon for the Looks, a Library for the Smarts, and two small gyms and a workout center for the Talents. I took a good look since that was where I was going to be in a few more weeks.

I looked over at Robin, and she smiled and winked at me and I knew that I had forgiven her for her missing the meeting.

"Wow! Madylyn. You are so lucky that you get to work here, and be trained by her." Tate leans over and whispers to me.

I look at my brother, and realize for the first time that he is not making fun of me. He truly means what he says.

"Thanks Tate. That's about the nicest thing you have ever said to me." I rasp back.

He looks slightly flustered after I say this, and I feel embarrassed because we are always picking on each other.

The moment passes when we move on the Rooms and Rosa shows my family my room and everything. My mom and dad are speechless by the room and bathroom size.

It all ends too soon, and soon enough my brothers and parents are headed off in our black Ford Explorer.

That night I fall asleep happy and warm.
