Kris and Haneul were in the vast Living room , right in front of Kris' father who was facing them .

"Father , this is Hanuel" Kris introduced his girlfriend as he gave her a rare sweet smile , he would only give to her .

"Oh , that is an honor dear , to meet the girl my son had been loving " His father smiled and approached Haneul to give her a handshake .

Haneul accepted his hand then bowed respectively after he took a step back to take a good look at her .

The father seemed accepting so far , and that relived both Kris and Haneul , they were now sitting together around the table , eating Dinner .

They had to chat for a bit before dinner, it was so far pleasant , Kris was satisfied because his father who was described as an extremely rude person in society and at home; happened to accept Haneul so far and even had the chance to joke around with her , It was all nice and calm until Kris' father asked that expected question .

"And who may be your father?" He asked all of a sudden.

Haneul who was expecting this question more than Kris , placed the fork and the knife calmly on the table , and smiled trying to hide her frustration " Kim Jungwoo" she muttered .

Xiao Fan, kris' father placed down the fork and knife as well and resting his elbows on the table crossing his fingers , his eyebrows scrunched .

"Kim Jungwoo as in the owner of the partnered company Kim and Byun Corporation?" he asked calmly.

Kris was full of concern, his father reaction wasn't that welcoming from his face expressions ,

All Xiao Fan did was humming after Haneul had answered with a clear "Yes".

The he nodded after, wiped his mouth and still had a malicious smile on his face.

"Finish you Dinner Kris and drive your girlfriend home, i will be waiting for you in my office " Xiao Fan said then stood up leaving the table.

Haneul looked down, She had a hunch it would be happening but denied it , and instead she was disappointed and the disappointment appeared on both .

"Haneul look at me " Kris said , looking at how the atmosphere turned grim , Haneul didn't dare to look at him , deep down she felt that destiny was going all against her , against her relationship with Kris , against her happiness , Kris called out her name again but there was no answer, Haneul was afraid she would show him her face , that was full of sadness .

Kris lifted her chin, a few tears were threatening to fall , she looked away trying not to cry .

"Haneul , look at me in the eyes and tell me, Do you love me ?" .

"Yes" Haneul instantly said, she didn't have to think about it , she was more than sure how much she loved him .

'Then believe in me , i will convince him , maybe he will accept it , he won't be able to stop me from loving you , and if we have to , let's just run away together " he told her .

"But what about my parents Kris? Father made it clear enough that it can't happen and I'm afraid with your father's disapproving to this, mine will be more furious and we won't stand a chance "Haneul reasoned.

"Don' tell anyone anything right now okay ? i will try to convince my father and everything will be fine " he re-assured her .

She smiled, it was all she could do to not make him feel bad , she didn't want to show him and grieved she was , hoping there would be a better result and Kris would be able to talk to his father about the matter .
