"So you never told me why you wanted me to spend the day with you " Haneul asked when they were back in the car again.

"i just wanted to spend the day with you , is it not allowed to miss my baby and want to spend the day with her ?" Kris asked .

"No , in fact i am happy you asked but we will get to spend more time with each other in the future , even if our parents are against us we will still see each other , right ?" she looked at him with hopeful eyes .

Kris was vexed for a while , he froze upon hearing what she said then smiled " of course" he hated lying to her , because he knew that she never lied to him about anything , she had always been giving him the love he needed , the love no one gave him , the love his father couldn't give him , the pain of losing her lingered for a while , it was going to haunt him forever , he knew that much , ' Would she wait for me if i asked her to ?' he asked himself as he drove .

'Would father forgive me if i run with her ?' he asked himself again ' no , he wouldn't ' he answered his own question .

He was going to try though , for whatever time it will take him , he will try , for how much he loved her , he will try .

"Kris" Kris averted his gaze to Haneul's way puzzled " Where are you zoning out , i've called you like three times now " Haneul furrowed her eyebrows .

"You have been spacing out a lot " she remarked taking his hand in hers patting in as she flashed him a smile .

"Are you preparing something ?" she asked .

Kris was taken aback and almost choked when he heard her , he shook his head " no , no , i am just thinking about how ans what will i say to your father " he said , rasing an eyebrow.

Mary opened her eyes wide and tilted her head " You are willing to speak to father ?"

"Yes " he gave her a genuine smile " I can't afford losing you babe"

"When ?" she asked .

"Tonight after i drop you off " he answered looking at the road .

Haneul grinned , she was happy to hear it "I hope father will listen , what did your father tell you about us ?"

Kris slipped his hand off hers and scratched his eyebrows flustered , he didn't know how to answer that .

"He said he will think about it " he smiled awkwardly .

Haneul wasn't very satisfied with the answer yet she smiled hoping for the best as she always did .

Kris parked the car inside the Kim's mansion just as daylight disappeared ,it was a little bit past 7 pm , he got out of the car and heaved a sigh .

"Are you nervous ?" Haneul asked him as she got out as well .

"Yes , quite a bit " he nodded .

"Don't be , dad knows how precious you are to me , he wouldn't dare do something bad " she assured him " Come on let's go in "

Much to their surprise , Haneul's parents were sitting in the living room as they entered .

Mary mother stood up when she saw them and smiled " Hey honey " she greeted her then bowed "Hello" she looked at Kris and greeted him with a genuine smile , he looked a lot like his mother , her sister .

"Your father is upstairs in his office " The mother told them , understanding they probably came her to talk about their relationship.

Kris bowed to Haneul's mother and smiled at her .
