Who said a girl can't love again || Baekhyun fanfic

"Long time no see"  Kris' voice ringed through her ears painfully .

Haneul gulped keeping up her cool, taking a step back, her back meeting Baekhyun's warm hands.

 Kris seemed at ease inside his sophisticated looking suit, his hands inside his pocket familiarly , looking at two of them , waiting for her to speak.

Baekhyun's arm held tight on her waist , his hand grasping at the side as he kept her near .

"Long time no see indeed" Baekhyun answered .

Haneul gave Kris a single nod, finally acknowledging his presence once Baekhyun spoke .

"It is very nice to see you " Kris said looking at Haneul .

Haneul forced a smile then turned to look at Baekhyun , her eyes silently pleading for help .

She couldn't look at Kris , she couldn't look at the person who gave upon her so easily , she refused to give in to the weak feelings , the angry feelings she kept inside for him .

"It's nice to see you too , what are you doing here ?" Baekhyun asked 

"Work" Kris replied shortly his eyes not leaving Haneul's figure .

Kris could see that she didn't really fancy seeing him, the intimate grasp Baekhyun had on her made him furious but who was he again to her to feel such errupting jealousy ? 

He had no right to feel anything towards her , he was the one who chose to leave after all and she was the one to hurt, but he reckoned suffering just as much.

For Haneul , he was still at fault no matter what .

"Shall we leave ?" Haneul whispered into Baekhyun's ear .

"Well if you would excuse us , we have got dinner plans "  Baekhyun excused himself , dragging Haneul with him .

Haneul couldn't believe her senses when she felt a hand grip at her free wrist , stopping her and Baekhyun from walking further .

"Can i talk to you ? it won't take much time" Kris said , looking down at her , giving Baekhyun no single thought .

"Leave her alone Kris " Baekhyun spat harshly.

"I am not addressing you " Kris replied back just as harsh.

Haneul snached her hand away from Kris' grip then looked up at him for a while , she was trying to remind herself of the good times she spent with him but it all didn't matter , because those fragments seemed to be already fading away .

"There is nothing to talk about " She raised an eyebrow at him and turned to Baekhyun 

"Let's go , honey" she said and just like that , Kris was left gawking at the sight .

After a few months of his departure , he had called Junmyeon quite a few times asking to talk to her , but Junmyeon wouldn't allow him and by the time junmyeon had told him that Haneul and Baekhyun got married he decided to give up .

He had felt betrayed but he knew much not to act stupid and blame anything on her or his father because he could have chosen to stay, the idea of them being related by blood tortured him for a while because he still wanted her , but she was another men's now and all he wanted was to talk to explain himself but she was too hurt to let him .

"Are you okay ?" Baekhyun asked , concerned as they took a seat next to each other .

Haneul heaved a sigh and nodded smiling "I am fine , thank you " she said
