The evening went by calmer as the wedding ceremony got carried on , Haneul was seated next to Baekhyun against the round table where both their families were seated as well .

Minseok's wife came to congratulate Haneul and had a small chat , everyone looked happy and Haneul's heart lightened at the sight of people smiling around her , something about it just eased her , how relaxed they looked .

"I knew i chose the right person for Baekhyun" Mrs Byun said placing her hand on Haneul's giving her the most genuine smile and Haneul couldn't help but smile just as genuinely to her .

Baekhyun had his eyes on her all along and when everyone disappeared from the table under the excuse of wanting to dance at the slow playing music , he decided to break the silence since he knew Haneul wouldn't say anything .

He couldn't help but hesitate first since she had her eyes on her mother and father dacing .

"Haneul" he called out peeking at her

She hummed in response turning to him

"Are you okay ? you had a few drinks "

"I am fine , don't worry " she squinted her eyes slightly as they hinted a slight surprise at his question .

"What about you ? How are you feeling ?" she asked turning away from him

"I am feeling good " he smirked

"Great " she commented in a monotonous tone leaning against the chair .

"Do you think we will ever get to get rid of ths awkwardness between us ? i mean we kissed out there in front of a dozen of people " he chuckled

Haneul scowled at him , finding his remark incredibly amusing or is it only because she was starting to feel a little tipsy that everything looks amusing to her , she turned to the side propping her elbow on the table and her chin on her palm to look at him

"Would you like us to share another kiss to get over the awkwardness ?" she teased him

"I mean if you would like to , yeah " he sat up properly , opening the button of his jacket making her scowl shaking her head .

" You are one strange man Byun Baekhyun" she stated sitting up straight as well .

"I would say you are the first woman to state that "

"You mean the only sane woman you know who stated that " she corrected .

"Mum keeps asking me to act natural, people have their eyes on us all the time , we look like a fake couple " he whispered .

"Aren't we at some point ?" she whispered back

"Well it's a wedding we are supposed to look happy and in love "he insisted .

"Then what am i supposed to do ?" she looked at him

"Let's hold hands at least "

Haneul huffed holding out her hand for him , Baekhyun grabbed it and smiled , she then turned her face away to look at the busy crowd of people .

"Am i discussing to look at ?" Baekhyun aked making her snap her head to his direction , eyes wide .

"No" she shook her head genuinely " You are not , i never said so "

"I know you never did but i can"t help but think about how avert your gaze away whenever i am in your sight " he explained leaning foward to whisper so that no one would hear

Haneul shook her head eyes up trying to figure out how to explain the fact that she just wasn't ready .

"Baekhyun , you are so handsome but whenever i look at your face i remember that we are not friends anymore , that we are a couple now and i am so sorry that my mind can't seem to get used to it " she said placing her other hand on his , apologetically rubbing on it .
