**Jacobs POV**
The strangest thing was happening to me. She was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. She had dark brown eyes that you could look into and get lost in forever. I instantly felt like i needed to know more.
I refrained myself from telling her how beautiful she was. I mean i didn't want to creep her out! "Hey I'm Jacob" I said trying to sound cool and calm. She stared, her brown eyes capturing me and not releasing me. I manages to turn away.
I smiled wondering what she might be thinking. She finally added "hi nice to meet you Jacob, I'm Emily" Knowing her name made me feel even more connected. She was blushing i dont know why though maybe I said that out loud? No I defiantly didn't thank god that would have been embarrassing.
I wanted to tell her how beautiful she was. She looked uncomfortable so I spoke again.
"Are you from around here?" I playfully asked. I had never seen her around here before I was curious to know if she was from out of town.** Emily's POV **
Jacob asked me if I was from around here. By "here" I'm not sure if he meant Knoxville or specifically this part of town.
I explained to him, probably to eagerly that I was born in Nashville but moved to this area in Knoxville about 5 years ago.
I knew I had never seen him around before. He responded to me by explaining how he's from the other side of town and doesn't come over here much.It felt like we had been talking for hours. I was just so captivated by him, by every word he said and the way he said it.
Weirdly, I felt so comfortable talking to Jacob. Like I could be myself and tell him all about me.
"Hey.. um Emily?" Jacob asked shyly, tilting his head so he wasn't looking me in the eyes.Nervously i replied, "Yeah what's up?"
"Can I have your number you know... Just incase you want to hang out sometime?..." He smirked, still not meeting my gaze.
I could sense how apprehensive he was. I self- consciously giggled.
"yeah ah sure" I blushed, but somehow i felt oddly confident in my reply. We awkwardly exchanged numbers, not a second went by when one of us didn't laugh or smile at the other.
We carried on sharing more details about ourselves. Jacob expressed to me how he loves music, he told me he plays guitar and sings however he thought he wasn't any good . I insisted he'd have to sing for me one day. He seemed excited about that.
We must have been by the fountain for hours. To enchanted by each other to notice the time.
But then Jacob got a text from his mum. He looked disappointed when he looked at his phone.
"I have to go my mums looking for me, everyone must be leaving now." He sighed. We walked inside together and hugged goodbye, Jacob promised he'd text me.
My excitement must have shown because he laughed and shook his head.I walked off and saw someone glaring at me from across the room. It was my mum. She looked upset? no angry. I took a deep breath and made my way towards her.
