It was the walk by the lake,
Barefoot with our imprints left behind
Clinging onto your arm
Gazing up at the stars
With only the sounds of the waves and our laughter.
Our little world with no one in sight. But the waves turned rougher,
The wind picked up
Sand flying across our face.
I tried to reach out and grab your hand
But you were gone,
Vanished from sight.
