Chapter 3

  Lucy sighed contently as she finished unpacking. Levy had helped her find a cheap apartment in Dawn City so now Lucy was all set.

  She sat at the small desk that had come with the apartment and opened up her computer. As she browsed through several furniture dealers—she was hoping to furnish her small living space so it would be more homely—the events that had taken place at lunch came flooding back to her mind.

  After Erza's little 'join our guild' memo, people from Blue Pegasus and Lamia Scale followed her around and pestered her about joining them.

  She couldn't help but smile at the charm of Blue Pegasus. Hibiki, Eve, and Ren were such gentlemen... though they were rather clingy.

  Lamia Scale's Lyon's intentions on recruiting Lucy leaned more towards his apparent rivalry with Gray Fullbuster. His accomplice Sherry disliked Lucy on the spot despite the irony of her entire existence being about 'love'.

  Either way... tomorrow at the ceremony, Lucy's entire Fiore experience would be decided when she chose a Guild.

  Beep beep her phone buzzed.

  Levy McGarden: Hey Lu!

  You: Hi Levy

  Levy McGarden: OMG, you responded! ❤️

  You: 😂

  You: I just finished unpacking

  Levy McGarden: Good for u!

  Levy McGarden: So the girls and I were thinking about going to the bar today... wanna come?

  You: Um...

  You: Dunno...

  You: I don't drink...

  Levy McGarden: Oh don't worry, that's only Cana

  You: U sure...?

  McGarden: Completely

  McGarden: Think of it as a girls night out

  McGarden: So can u make it??

  You: Well...

  Lucy looked around as she thought. It was—or would be— her first 'get together'... and Levy seemed so nice... maybe she should go. Though frankly, the thought of her being in a crowed disco dance floor made her nervous...

  You: Sure!

  You: What time?

  Levy McGarden: Yay!

  Levy McGarden: We'll be at ur apartment at around 8:00

  Levy McGarden: Wear something nice!

  You: 👍🏻

  Lucy tossed her phone onto the small mattress beside the window and headed to the bathroom to shower. She turned the hot water tap all the way so the small washroom began to fill with steam. She scrubbed the sudsy soap and shampoo onto her body and into her hair. When she was done, she wrapped her towel around herself, and the hurriedly tiptoed to her suitcase; the water droplets dripping off of her body and leaving a wet trail on her hardwood floors. She rummaged through her clothes until she found her magenta cocktail dress.
