Chapter 6

"LuLu I am so so sorry!" Levy cried through the phone. "Sherry had done the exact same thing to Juvie on her first day and I completely forgot and—and I—I—" sounds of Levy's hysterical sobbing rang through Lucy's ear.

"Levy calm down!" Lucy told her, going through her outfits. "I'm perfectly fine."

"W-When Natsu called me I was literally on the verge of tearing Sherry apart. You should have seen Juvie and Lisanna's reactions though. Those two girls were fuming so hard that Sherry went from Lioness to Canary in a split-second."

"Don't underestimate the canary... if anything it could swoop down at the last second and poke your eyes out," Lucy pointed out, laying out a pair of dark jeans and a sleeve-less, flowing top. "Though I am actually glad I wasn't there to see that," she told her truthfully.

"Anyways, do you need a ride?"

"Uh..." Lucy mumbled as she slipped her head through the shirt. "Possibly?— Ugh where did I put my belt?"

She heard the sound of Levy's giggles. "Alright then. While you sort through your clothing, I'll come and pick you up. I think Cana'll let me borrow her car..."

"She not coming?"

"Not for the ride, no. She wants to go with this week's boyfriend," Lucy imagined Levy rolling her eyes. "And Laki said she'll ride with Max."

"I see," a smile dancing on her features. "Are they officially an item?"

"I wish!"

Lucy snickered, "Mira would get a kick out of this."

She heard Levy giggle, "Anyways... Everyone I tried to reach is still getting ready—you'd think at least half the school'd be at the auditorium by now but noooooo! In fact, the directors actually had to postpone the event for a whole hour!"

"Oh..." Lucy raised an eyebrow, secretly glad that she'd have more time in the shower, "Why is everyone treating this like the Prom?"

Levy made a tsk tsk sound. "Since the Fiore Company schools are ranked so high, hardly anyone gets accepted late in their schooling years or even at all."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah! Also, since you're a high schooled immigrant, your Ceremony is going to be a pretty big deal. Vermillion, and the principles after her, decided to make it tradition to throw an elaborate party to celebrate that student's achievement when they make it in."

"Wow..."

"...yeah. Though only the middle and high schoolers will be there. The elementary and Pre-K have their own separate joint kiddy-party when there's a new student. Same goes for the college, just that theirs is independent and adult themed." Lucy heard the sound of Lisanna and Juvia's chattering followed by the start of an engine. "We'll be there in a few, K?"
