Chapter 5

6 minutes and counting...

She'd been attacked only six minutes ago and already she'd been gagged and tied up. The men—Lucy figured calling them Giant and Burly respectively because of their heights and builds—moved her to one of the empty freight cars at the back of the train and ranted on and on about the money they were going to make after turning her in to the man that desperately wanted to see her.

"Think of all them dough," Burly grunted in a hoarse voice. "This girly looks like she's worth a lot."

"Yeah, I hear blondes make millions in the black market." Giant nodded eyeing Lucy in a way that made her self conscious.

"We'll be reaching Crocus in about 20 more minutes," Burly checked the watch he had on.

"That's a lifetime away," Giant complained. He got up and sat down next to Lucy. "Why don't we pass the time playing a little game?" He raised an eyebrow.

"What da ya say, girly?" Burly kneeled down, brushing a strand of her hair behind her ear. Lucy muffle-screamed in protest and head butted the burly man. He staggered back.

The two men looked at her dangerously. "You're gonna pay for that—" But his sentence was cut short when the train hit a bump in the tracks, knocking the freight-car-door open.

The wind roared through the compartment, pulling the three of them out of the train. Burly safely made it to the back and of the car and Giant was so heavy, the wind didn't have any affect on him. Lucy on the other hand—gagged and handcuffed—struggled against the force of the wind.

"Mate!" Giant yelled at Burly. "The girl's gonna fall out!"

"Along with my pay!" He and Giant tried to move, but the force led them to do otherwise.

Lucy slowly began to loose her stamina, fighting the force. Then, her strength got the best of her and she slumped forward. The bumpy tracks and wind made her roll to the edge of the car.

I'm gonna fall out!! She thought numbly, her body only inches away from the open door.

Just as she was about to tumble out, she felt a strong pair of arms grab her waist and haul the door half closed. He gently threw her over his shoulder, Lucy's eyes widening when she saw a tuft of pink hair.

"N-Natsu?!" She said in shock and relief.

He smiled that toothy grin of his and set her down. As he bent down and undid the knitted cloth tied around her hands, he glowered at Lucy's attackers, "You two made the biggest mistake of your lives."

Lucy stretched her wrists and took in deep breaths of air. She stared at the pink-haired boy in awe. What about his motion sickness...?

"Back off kid," Giant cracked his knuckles.

Burly popped his neck, "Yeah, be a good boy and hand over the girl."

"That ain't happening," Natsu punched Giant in the jaw and head butted the beefy man.

Burly came at him from behind but Lucy kneed him. Burly doubled over and Natsu stomped on his back.

Then Happy made his big entrance. He peed on Giant's head and scratched Burly's face,

Natsu growled menacingly at the two men before helping Lucy undo the gag. He slowly massaged her sore cheeks.

"Feel better?" He asked.

  "Y-Yeah... thanks."

  He shook his head, "How do you end up in these kinds of situations?"
