And so, life went on.

It had been more than a week since Lucy had joined Fiore and about 6 days since she had officially been apart of Fairy Tail.

Her guild mates, like Cana foresaw, had grown on her. At lunch, she sat with Levy, Laki, Juvie and Lisanna—along with the occasional Cana or Laki. As the days went by, Lucy started remembering who all was in her classes.

She shared many classes with Erza, whom she respected and in turn was given the privilege of studying with. Mira was in Debate with her and now the Yearbook Club—which Lucy joined upon her suggestion (Laki, Lisanna, Bisca and Erza were in the club as well and they met every Thursday). Evergreen had one of the haughtiest attitudes Lucy's ever seen, but even she too had grown on her upon their bonding time in Language arts.

Almost all the boys considered her their kid sister, but she liked Gray the most. He was in a majority of classes with her and was overall really nice to her—though she still called him Frosty cause the nickname just stuck. Of course, Juvia became lethal whenever she saw Gray anywhere near any other girl despite Lucy's protests saying that Gray was 'like a brother' and so dating a 'brother' would be seriously wrong (not to mention illegal). But Juvia is Juvia—and any girl is a love rival in her eyes.

Lucy remained on good terms with Elfman simply because he was Mira and Lisanna's brother. If she were honest with herself, the beast of a man scared her—though he was a sweetheart on the inside.

Gajeel scared her more than Elfman. He seemed to have this strange I-don't-listen-or-take-orders-from-anyone-except-myself aura around him and liked picking fights with anyone who was willing to spare a broken bone or two. However, he was submissive around Lucy—and that's a huge understatement.

Of all the boys though, she spent the most time with Natsu. Almost everyday after school, the two of them (and his weird cat) would walk around Fiore looking for payable jobs—it turns out, Natsu had to pay rent too.

In the common hallway of the school, there was a big board filled with 'job requests'.

Apparently in Fiore, permanent jobs were only given to adults so high schoolers could take job request as a quick way to make money. So far, she and Natsu had cleaned out storage rooms, worked at diners, rake leaves, sort out mail, and even help an old lady cross the street.

On good days, Lucy would return to her apartment to enjoy the privacy and quiet before taking a bath. However, now she'd come home to find Natsu and his cat lounging around and going through her stuff. It turns out, Mira had given them a spare key to her apartment since she and him had been going on several jobs together and might need to be in contact. Lucy never remembered giving her contest to the whole ordeal—but she never really had time to complain since Natsu would be emptying her pantry or reading her novel or showering in her bathroom or—

"Hey Lucy," Natsu called with a sly look.

"Mhm?" Lucy mumbled incoherently as she typed something on her computer.

"I didn't know you had such a big panty collection!"

Lucy whipped her around in alarm and felt her face flame up when she saw Natsu's head peering into the top drawer of her... AHHHHHHH!

"GET THE HELL OUT OF MY DRESSER!!" Lucy hollered slapping Natsu and dragging him towards the door.

...Yeah...

Other than that annoying hindrance, Fiore was everything she'd ever dreamed of. She had friends, new family, she was loved and she knew she'd never have felt this much happiness had she not run away.

Of course, deep deep down, perhaps she always knew that her happiness never lasts forever...
