Narrator's P.O.V

Day by night as the ship sways, their path to the unknown begins. The entirety of this ship has been left abandoned. Dust fills the air, webs covered the walls, and grime built up on the doors and floor boards. It was like the ship was forgotten all together.

They plan to gather any evidence of life that may be or may have been here. They check they cabin area for owners, but no such soul was discovered. Searching the kitchen, prowling the halls and observing the decks came to scavenging nothing. The only places left was the captain's ward which is rusted shut.

"Man, this isn't budging!" Leo shouts tugging forcefully on the door's handle.

"Trying to force the door isn't useful, but maybe we could use some kind of lubricant." Amber suggests.

"But where could we find anything of the sort?"

She was going to suggest locations to search, before their robotic helper climbs from Leo's bag with oil in hand.

"What is it that you can't do?" Amber questions smiling and rubbing the orb's side.

Leo lowers the orb onto the floor. It analyzes the rust formed over the deadbolt and hinges. The rust grew two inches over the faceplate causing it to be bolted shut.

"Could the little guy open it if we saw off the deadbolt?" Pipit asked.

The sphere takes the oil and pours it onto the hinges, then morphs an electric hand saw wired above him.

"Okay, I guess I'll take this." Leo acquires grabbing hold of the hand saw.

Positioning the object, he cuts through the rusted metal and pushes open the entrance.

The interior of the captain's ward replicated that of the ship's inner walls. Covered with webs, grimy floorboards, yet the furnishing had been carefully wrapped with plastic sheets.

"Why is the furniture covered when there isn't anyone here?" Zelda asked wiping the dust from the desk.

She pulls the plastic from the desk, noticing the initials "Leonard" carved on the bottom left corner.

"Leonard? Must've been the captain."

Eager, Zelda notifies the others of the name slightly engraved on the desk. Opening the drawers to inspect inside, she conjures a dusty old journal titled Leo's Diary. She wipes away the dust piling beneath the lettering, uncovering a bird spreading its wings. And its heading is shaped like a triangular crest.

Amber's eyes widened the moment she realized the features of the symboling.

"Oh my goodness, that's the exact symbol displayed in this book!" she proclaims holding the item for all to see.

Zelda offers her the journal. She opens the obtained item and scans through the pages. It was indeed the journal of a previous legend.

"Which legend is it?" Leo asked reading along with her.

"It's the diary of the flame legend!" she responds pointing at some of the writing.

"How can you tell?"

"Don't you see the way he is describing himself?"

Leo steps away from Amber and narrows his eyes. Amber, now suspicious of his actions shows worry.

"Leo, what's wrong? Did you see something?" She questions patting him on the back.

"One thing, does anyone else see what's written?"
