Amber's P.O.V
As the night before today grew darker, we asked Leo some questions of what else he may have seen. He seemed a bit weary explaining some of the things he envisioned. He told us he saw four men placing the swords in different areas of sacred grounds. He can't pinpoint the locations but may have some ideas. We didn't want to push him any further than we already had, so we had him lie down in one of the ship's cabins, and called it in for the night.
The rising sun is halfway of brightening the atmosphere. After my restful night of sleep, I woke up early and went to the captain's ward to read some of the things Leonard had written. There are so many things they've created, but in some aspects, didn't seem to work out so well. Leonard speaks as if some of the things they've tried to achieve only brought more misery. What is most interesting is the story of Lotus Valley, of how their latest invention failed with using their swords.
Finishing up on the story, the handle of the door rotates, allowing my friend Dante into the room.
"Hey, Amber, what're you up to?" He asked.
"I wanted to read some more of the journal so I woke up as early as I could," I replied as I close the book. "So, how is Leo doing?"
"I think he's feeling better. He also asked if you could come and see him."
"Sure, I'll head over now."
I left the ward and hurried down to the cabin Leo was held in. The door was slightly cracked, with little view of Leo sitting upright talking to Link. I give a gentle knock on the door and he looks at me grinning a bit.
"Amber, I wanted to ask you about some things."
I let myself in and sits next to him.
"So you know about the meaning of those symbols right?" Leo says.
"Yes, I do. What would you like to know?" I reply curiously.
"You wouldn't happen to know which legend I'm supposedly following after, would you?"
It was an interesting idea. What we witnessed yesterday could be a clue to what Leo's ability may be.
"Let's see," I answer standing up. "From what I read earlier, once your goddess calls to you, the symbol on your hand may change color."
Leo looks at me with surprise. He rolls the sleeve of his left arm towards the elbow checking his now vibrant symbol.
"What does it mean if the crest looks like fire?"
"What? Are you serious?!"
Leo displays the back of his hand, revealing the crest of burning embers. Like a dancing flame it called to me, he was indeed the chosen hero of Power, the Legend of Flames.
"Leo, this is wonderful news, you are the hero of power!" I proclaim holding him tightly. "We have to tell the others about this!"
He hesitantly agrees, seeing as though he didn't want to say anything. Before I began rotating the rusted handle, I glance over my shoulder, observing him carefully. He hasn't gotten up from beneath the sheets. He just sat there with his eyes lowered. Going over to him I noticed that he was gazing into the crest while giving a light sigh.
"Hey," I say rustling through his hair. " What's wrong, is something bothering you?"
He hesitates further but speaks vainly with little eye contact.
"I haven't told anyone this, but back when we were opening the gates to Faron Woods, I had these weird visions. Some of them I suppose were good, but there are few -mainly three- that bothers me." He implicates resting his head heavily into his palms.
"Who were they about?" I ask.
Leo -giving me another stare- closes his eyes and tilts his head.
"I don't know how you all may feel about this, but it may be best for all of us to discuss."
Lifting himself from beneath the sheets to grab his boots, he stands following me to the deck with everyone else.
The warm breeze coating the air greets the two of us as we regroup with our friends.
"Guys, you won't believe what we found out," I cheered as I cradle onto Leo's arm. "It has been confirmed Leo is the chosen hero of power!"
Link -happy but worried- stares his brother in the eyes, ruffling through his hair.
"Are you feeling any better man?" he questions him.
Leo smiles at his worried siblings, pulling them in for a grand hug.
"I'm fine, in fact, I would say I feel very energized! I know you guys are worried, but I'm okay. Although I do have some things to share with you all." He assured the two.
He presents to them the crest of roaring flames. In awe, the young crew gathers in fascination wondering what this would do for them. The next chosen heroes check their unmarked gifts thinking of what would happen for them. What would their powers be like, and how would they use it?
"Now, to the things I wanted to discuss with you all," Leo announces. "I have had some visions. Some were fine but for some, they are worrying. I have had six in total. The three that were hopefully good was about a beautiful landscape full of lotus flowers, a breathtaking view from beneath the ocean current, and us seeing our parents again.
But the three that I say are worrying was first, I saw Amber, she had been taken by one Alexandria's commanders I believe. The second thing I saw was of someone, I can't tell who it was, but they were pierced through the chest with the claw of an enormous raven. But the last one I had was of me. I was trapped in a dark void, I couldn't move, I couldn't think, I could only watch as I was overcome with shadows taking my sanity."
I stare at Leo and then the others with ice running through my veins. A harsh chill dropped down my spine just thinking about the things he said.
"And you said this happened when going to Faron Woods?" I ask with concern taking a toll on my voice.
"Yeah, and so I ask that we all be careful from now on, please, " He begs.
Link throws an arm over his brother and takes him to the now cleansed kitchen area. We think about easing him to calm his nerves and agrees to eat the fish we caught earlier today- thanks to the orb remodeling the kitchen-.
As Dylan preps the orb to fry the food, I craft plates and produce a dinner table for everyone to sit. If we can, maybe it's best we settle in the ship for a couple of days and wait until the day we see land beyond the distance.
