Narrator's P.O.V
The parents of the young travelers have reached the city with two jeeps Craig and Angie gave them. They are now refreshed and ready to begin the search to find their kids.
With their journey from the Kamari Inn, they made it to Lotus Valley. A dry and sunken city made of stone and ruins emerge behind sandstone columns. With sounds of rushing wind and hollow humming permeating the sunken city. The buildings are made of red sand and moss covered stone stairs leading four stories down to deep dark tunnels. It was far too dark and far too deep for them to travel in without any form of light for guidance.
"Oh boy, what do we have here?" Kingston says searching for something to light. While checking for items for flammable purposes, he comes across a thick wooded cane wrapped with cloth jammed between a mess of rocks.
"What are the odds of this being here." he says moving pieces if the debris.
Kingston sets the cane on fire and guides the others through the dark city. They see that this place is filled with shops, markets, eateries, and an Inn called Gatekeeper's Inn.
Jaguar spots the building's sign and announces "Guys, here is another Inn."
He runs over to the doors and softly pounds onto it's wooden design. He had given it a second try, but still no answer. With curiosity he forcibly pushes himself against the door and found that it can be opened rather easily.
Claire walks over to Jaguar and gently places her hand onto his back and asked him "Jaguar honey, why did you knock on the door?"
He turns to her and tells her "I knocked to see if anyone was here at all."
And he was correct, there isn't a single person here. There are no local citizens, just a quiet and vacant town filled with darkness with hollow humming and rushing wind covered halfway with a carved mountain.
Everyone steps into the lobby in hopes of finding something useful for their next tour. They acquire neatly clean glass jars to place drinkable fluids inside of, two wine bottles of finely made cherry wine, and more loaves of freshly baked oak and wheat bread. But as they scrap these items, the realization of everything that surrounds them struck Jaguar as if concerning thoughts held onto his shoulders and swayed in his mind.
"Hold up a second guys" Jaguar calls out gleaming at the nicely designed wine bottles he holds firmly in his grasp. "We have these items that are clean, freshly made, and yet have been conveniently placed here where there is no one here. Not to mention that this place is outstandingly clean from cluttering dirt and dust to not have any owners."
The group examines one another for Jaguar's questionable statements. Was this trap set here by Alexandria, or is there really someone here after all?
Dana, Dante and Dylan's mother, peeks below at the bracelet and remember the info they gained from the Kamari Inn.
"Everyone we can use the bracelets to find what we need." she states pointing at the item on her wrist.
Dana was reading aloud the info from her bracelet, until a sudden resonance of rustling leaves occured from a potted plant standing by the bar. Dimitry takes hold of a beer bottle from the counter and prepares to take action. He inches closer to the plant ready to attack. As he stands ten centimeters from the object, dull gray eyes glare at him through the tree's trunk. Dimitry raises the bottle like a baseball player wanting to hit a home run. The creature, now terrified, springs from the potted soil.
"Please, don't hurt me!" cries the strange creature shaking in fear.
Dimitry lowers the glass material and sternly asked the monster "Who are you, and why are you spying on us?"
