Chapter 17

The next day (December 11th)
Ashanti pov

Me and Chris sat in the waiting room at the doctors office. Erica and Gabby aren't coming anymore but we're still going to get the gender in an envelope and give it to them.

"You neverous?" I asked Chris as I saw his hand shaking.

"Yeah, I thinks it's a girl." He said and I smiled and looked at him as he smiled.

"Why you say that?" I asked him.

"Instinct." He said and I chuckled.

"Well sorry to bust yo bubble but it's a boy." I said and he laughed.

"Yeah whatever." He said and I laughed.

"Ashanti Gonzalez?" The nurse said and we stood up and walked over and followed her in the back and she took my weight and height and we walked to the room. "The doctor will be right with you." She said and walked out the room and I climbed on the bed and Chris sat in the chair. I pulled out my phone as I went threw it and he started playing with anything he could get his hands on.

"How would you like if I was your doctor?" Chris asked me and I looked up and he had on a mask over his mouth and gloves on and I laughed.

"Chris you a basketball player for a reason not a doctor." I said and he smaked his lips and laughed. "But you would be a sexy ass doctor." I said.

"I would be yo pussy doctor." He said and I laughed as he walked up to me.

"That is not what's it called you little pervert." I said and he smiled.

"You love the pervert tho." He said and I moved his mask and pecked his lips a few times and a knock on the door interrupted us and I pulled back.

"Hey Shanti." My doctor said and Chris smiled and sat down. "And Me. Brown pleasure to see you again." She said and Chris nodded. "Let's get this started." She said. "I'm sure both of y'all are excited to know what your having." She said.

"Actually can we get it in an envelope." I said and she nodded.

"Sure thing, so I'm just gonna have you lay back and lift up your shirt." She said and I did that as she looked over her clip board. "So I see that you haven't gained that much since last time are you eating?" She asked chuckling and rubbed the cold gel on my stomach.

"Hell yeah she eat." Chris said butting in and I looked at him as she rubbed my stomach with the tool.

"Shut up." I said as we laughed and the room went quite as she tried to find the babies heart beat. I'm so excited, I haven't heard it yet.

"So doc I got a question." Chris said and I playfully rolled my eyes. "Sex is healthy for the baby right?" He asked her and he chuckled.

"Well yes but not hard core Mr. Brown." She said and I laughed.

"Yeah Chris not hard core." I said and she laughed and Chris winked at me and the we got interrupted by a sound coming from the machine and we all looked over.

The sound was like music to my ears it was a sound that I never wanted to let go. Chris came over and grabbed my hand and then kissed my cheek.

"Strong heart beat." She said and a tear fell down my face.

"Awe baby." Chris said and whipped it as I smiled. "Look at our little one." He said and I just smiled.

"So y'all seem like your enjoying this so I'm going to step out and get the gender down and get your pictures." She said and whipped the gel off my stomach and I put my shirt down. I smiled and she walked out and I sat up.

"Wow this is so real." Chris said and I smiled and chuckled.

"It's been real." I said and then rubbed my small baby bump. "Once she come back we need to go I got class tonight and you have a game and I promise as soon as I get out of class I'mma come by and watch my baby kill it." I said and he smiled and kissed me.

I sat in class as I felt Jay's eyes on me from the back of the class. Since I stop talking to him I've been uncomfortable around him. He blows my phone up and shit and I don't want to stress over it and I don't want chris to stress over it neither so I'm just going to ingnor him.

"Shanti!" Jay yelled to me as I walked to my car and I walked faster my only thought was just to get to Chris's game. "Shanti I know you hear me!" He yelled and I ran to my car and as I was opening the door and he stood behind me and slammed it shut. "So you go act like you didn't hear me calling you." He said and I rolled my eyes.

"No I heard your just not relevant to me." I said and he chuckled.

"Oh really?" He asked me.

"Really, and if you don't back away from me in 5 seconds you'll reget it." I said and he smiled.

"You know your sexy when your fistey." He said and bit his lip.

"Move!" I said and he back away and then I got in the car and started it as fast as I can and as I was backing up he punched my window and mad the glass crack and I looked at him as he constantly tried to break my window as I pulled out the parking lot.

I just got home from Chris game and he haven't seen my car yet and all I'm doing is thinking of ways to avoid this conversation and I didn't have have allot of time because he was only a few minutes behind me.

I ran upstairs and got in the shower and thought.

As the hot water hit my body I heard my name begin called.

"Shanti!" Chris yelled walking I the bathroom.

"Wassup baby?" I asked him as I washed up and seconds later he climbed in.

"What the hell happened to yo car?" He asked me. "My girl can't be riding around in that." He said.

"Nothing." I said and looked away from him and he pulled my face back to him.

"Stop lieing tell me I'm not playing with yo ass." He said I could tell he was in one of his moods he team lost so this how he always is.

"Jayceon punched it." I said and I can tell his blood boiled.

"What the fuck, why was you talking to him!?" He yelled.

"I wasn't talking to him he was talking about me!" I yelled. "And why the fuck do it matter, you didn't even ask was I ok or shit you just jump to conclusions!" I yelled.

"I swear Chris your so fucking bipolar." I said chuckled and next thing I know he pinned my up against the wall.

"You know I hate that shit Shanti and if that's the case so are you and if we being ahundred your even more bipolar because it's mixed in with the pregnancy hormones!" He yelled as his hand dug in my wrist.

"Chris let me go your hurting me!" I yelled and his grip only tighen as he looked at me with souless black eyes. "Chris stop it hurts!" I yelled and he came back to reality and then pushed me against the wall and then got out the shower and I slide down the wall and cried.
