Annora's POV
The next morning, I could hear Mercy saying things in German. I didn't know what she was saying because I didn't take a language class in school and decided to study Japanese in my spare time. I opened my eyes slowly and she looked at me with confusion.
"Annora, can you sit up for me?" I sighed and sat up like I normally would before the accident. She then asked me to stand up and walk around, or as far as I could with the IV still in my hand. I walked around the floor with no pain. Mercy stared intently as I walked a whole two feet.
"What in the world? There's no way." She walked over to me and pushed on the wrap around my stomach and the one around my breasts, trying to see how I would react. I reacted the same way I did walking the few feet from my bed. She started speaking in German again and looked over her notes. I sighed and scratched at the IV again.
Mercy came over and grabbed my arms that, of course, aren't hurting anymore. She continued to ask how my wounds healed so fast and I said quick and simple "I honestly have no idea." And I was being honest: I had no idea.
"Annora, all your wounds are healed. What did you do overnight?" I shook my head and shrugged my shoulders. A little of my hair fell over my shoulder. When it did, I noticed it turned white. I moved it back so Mercy didn't see it. She then dashed off to find Mom, leaving me alone. I grabbed the chunk of hair and saw more of it was turning white.
"What the hell is going on?" I said to myself. Before Mom and Mercy walked into the room, My whole head of hair had turned white. I was worried now and couldn't do anything about it. When they came into the room I put my hands over my hair.
"Love, what happened? How is this possible?" I continued to say I didn't know with my hands covering my hair. Mom looked at me funny and Mercy grabbed her clipboard. She then told me to give me my hand to take the IV out. And as much as I wanted to because it was annoying, I didn't want to show them my changing hair.
"Annora, now." I sighed and gave her my hand. And, of course, some of my hair fell over my shoulder. Mom gasped and moved my other hand, showing my full head of hair. After Mercy took the needle out of my hand, she did the same as Mom did.
"Anni, what happened to your hair?" I shrugged my shoulders and continued to say that I had no idea. Mercy distracted herself and slowly took off the wraps around my body. My skin didn't have any scars despite needing surgery to get a bullet out of my stomach and chest. Mom unwrapped the ones on my arm and, again, there were no scars.
"Annora, what did you do? What happened to you?" Mom looked me up and down in confusion, touching the parts on my arms and on my stomach area where my wounds were. I felt no pain and just stood there. All I was worrying about was my hair magically turning white.
"Alright. Lena, let's let Anni change her clothes and she can meet us downstairs. I need to do some research." They both walked out and Mom shut the door behind her. I stood there for a few seconds in shock. I had to find Reaper again and find out what he did. I quickly changed into a pair of shorts and a t-shirt and sat on my floor. I looked down at my hands and saw the hole where the IV was had closed and my hand looked perfect.
I leaned against the nearest wall and thought about all that had happened. I was perfectly healed and my hair had turned white. I raised an eyebrow and walked over to my computer. I opened up a new tab and started to search for things related to magic. One website even showed me ways to move my hands to use magic. If I had it in my body at all.
I put my hands out in front of me away from my computer and circled my left hand with my right and nothing happened. I tried again and nothing happened. I took a deep breath and concentrated all my energy into it, though I doubted it would work. I tried it a third time and little blue waves of magic spun around my hand. I gasped and it disappeared.
