Eva's POV
I made my way home after facing both Tracer and Sombra. She's on the side of good now, huh? That's interesting, I wonder when that happened. I didn't see Mercy there, so she must have gone back to work. Genji must have gone back to Japan with the twins as well. I guess it was inevitable, they couldn't stay there forever.
When I reached my house, I formed back into a person and walked inside. I started pacing around, grumbling as I did. I couldn't believe she would try to bring me back to her side. My old self was long gone. She didn't get that. Why didn't she get that? Did her chronal disassociation screw up her memory as well as her timeline? I finally stopped pacing around and sighed. This was how life is now, I should learn to understand that.
As I walked into the kitchen, I thought about going to find Reaper, show him my transformation into what I am. But I then decided against it. Talon was probably after me and I knew that if I came anywhere near the compound, I was dead. So, for the time being, I had to stay away.
Reaper's POV
Widow came over to my room soon after Sombra left. I was kind of expecting her to come around soon afterwards. She gave me a tiny smile and I sighed.
"Did you know that she was having second thoughts before this?" I asked. She shook her head and sat down at my desk.
"She just came in and said she was leaving. Did she tell you why?" Before I could answer, the two of us were called into the main office. We both walked down and she knocked on the door. We walked in and were greeted by the only two leaders Talon had left.
"Hello, thank you for coming so quickly." We nodded and Widow kept her head down while I kept my head up. I had a feeling of what they called us in for. They were slow with most things, but they always seemed to be on top of their agents.
"I have a feeling you two know why we called you in here." I nodded and saw Widow nod her head once.
"We've been told that Sombra has left Talon and hasn't been seen in a couple hours. Now comes the question: do either of you know where she went or her motives?" I heard Widow suck in a breath. I knew, of course, but I couldn't tell them that she was successfully able to sneak in Tracer and Mercy, two of Talon's most hated enemies, into the compound without being seen as well as taking highly sensitive materials. She'd be dead in a heartbeat.
"I have no idea, sir." Widow said.
"Neither have I. Sombra never said anything about where she was going or her motives, sir." The two nodded and one of them leaned against the back of his chair and sighed.
"That's a shame. Sombra was one of our best agents. I hate to see her go." I could practically hear Widowmaker roll her eyes. And for good reason. We both agreed that Sombra was a good agent, but not one of Talon's best. And Sombra agreed with us that she wasn't always the best agent. Especially considering her failure to assassinate Katya Volskaya a couple years ago.
"Thank you for coming in, that's all we needed. You are dismissed." I nodded and led the two of us out of the office. Widow put a finger to her mouth to tell me to stay quiet until we got back to my room, the only place in the entire compound that Talon's compound that didn't have any active listening devices thanks to Sombra. When we walked into the room, I shut the door and locked it.
"I can't believe you lied to our bosses! Do you know how much trouble you'll get in if they figure out you lied?" Widow exclaimed.
"Do you know how much trouble I'll get into if they find out I saved Annora? And that I visited her on a regular basis? There will be hell to pay if they find out all the rules we've broken." We both sighed and thought about our situation.
