Reaper's POV

I sat on my bed that night and thought about Annora. Watching her walk onto the stage and receiving her high school diploma made me extremely proud. I didn't think I would ever get to see it when I couldn't get to her after the explosion. But after Sombra found her, I knew it was possible in my future.

I then heard the alarm go off to make us get our new assignment. I got up and wraithed my way over to the main room. I met with Widowmaker and stood next to her to wait for our next assignment. Sombra became visible on the other side of the room. I saw her give me a little wave and heard her giggle when she saw me and Widowmaker. The leader of Talon then walked up in front of us and started talking.

"Recently, we've been on the losing side of battles because of one such girl named Annora. She's been a thorn in our sides and isn't allowing us to accomplish our goals." I took in a deep breath and clenched my fists. Sombra walked over to me and squeezed my hand to try to calm me down. Whatever he was going to say, I knew it was going to anger me.

"To combat this, my colleagues and I have come up with a plan to take her out. And everyone is going to be in on this mission." Sombra squeezed my hand even harder and I clenched my fist even harder. If they think they can hurt my child, they've got another thing coming. I wasn't prepared to lose my daughter as soon as I got her back. I gritted my teeth as he explained the plan.

Afterwards, I went back to my room and started preparing for the mission that I had to be apart of. Eventually, I stopped, took off my mask and put my head in my hands. I couldn't tell this to Annora. If I did, I would be in serious trouble. And if I didn't, she would die and all the work it took to find her would go to waste. An hour later, Sombra came into my room without knocking and shut the door behind her.

"You're not going to go through this, are you?" she asked. I sighed and slipped my mask back on.

"I have to. It's not like I have a choice. I can either warn her and get in serious trouble or don't tell her and she dies. I don't either possibility to happen. I love her too much to have anything happen to her." Sombra, for once, didn't have a smile on her face and had a look of concern.

"I want to help, but I don't know what to do." I sighed and shook my head.

"I don't know if there's anything we can do. I wish there was, but it results in Annora getting hurt." Sombra came over and sat down next to me. She hesitated before putting a hand on my shoulder.

"Widow doesn't know, does she?" I shook my head and sighed. Widow wouldn't understand, for obvious reasons. And with all the trouble she's had with Annora, I'm not surprised if she was the one who told the heads of Talon about Annora in the first place.

"I haven't said anything to her about it. Widow's always telling me about how much trouble she's having with a teenager pushing her around and making her retreat. I don't think she'd be very happy hearing that it's my long lost daughter." Sombra nodded and stood up to walk out of the room.

"Well, you have three days to decide. Either side with your job, or your daughter. Either way, she dies." Sombra walked out and shut the door behind her. I groaned and fell back onto my bed. She was right. Anyway I look at this, Annora was dead. There was no looking around that fact. I couldn't lose her. Not again. But I had no clue how to save my little girl from a fate that I, in a way, caused. I knew then that I couldn't see her in a few days. I couldn't do that to myself. And I sure as hell couldn't do that to Annora.

Sombra's POV

I rested my head on Reaper's door and weighed the options he had put out on the table. He couldn't just leave Talon and run away with her, he'd be tracked down faster than anyone could blink. And I'm positive he's not just going to let his beloved daughter die. There was no way in hell. He was at a crossroads that had no good ending.
