very short, but I had about half a page written on the app, and I forgot to save it so I'm ending it there.
|chapitre 2|
Luke parked the car next to a Barnes & Nobles, and unbuckled his seat belt. "We all meet here after, correct?"
"Great, they have a Starbucks inside," Calum stared, pressing his face against the window.
"I'll be leaving now," Michael mumbled, grabbing his tracker that was connected to the car. He disconnected it, and opened the door.
"Me too," followed Ashton, jumping out the car and sticking a hand out for Athens. Athens grabbed both of their trackers, passing it to Ash, and grabbed her bow and arrows (that were on casual mode like mine, a laptop and a bohemian backpack)
Calum had already disappeared to God knows where, and Luke was just about to leave. I grabbed a tracker, shoving myself out of the van. "All good?"
They nodded back, mumbling incoherent words. I started walking in the opposite direction and checked my tracker to see if I was walking in the correct distance. In between a four-story parking lot and a building. An alley I thought.
I walked quickly, putting my 'laptop' into my empty 'bag'. Walking, I speeded down the streets until I reached the correct street. I saw the business building and parking lot, hopping lightly into the alley. A man, who's back was faced to me, was walking into a dead end alley.
What the hell is he doing?
I pulled out my 'laptop' and it soon turned into a bow, as I grabbed an arrow from my transformed bag. I tip-toed closer to him, aiming my arrow. He stopped walking, which I silently thanked Calum, and stared at the building wall. He sighed, ruffling his brown hair. I was about to release my arrow, shuffling closer to him.
"Man! She's such an ass!"
He started laughing, and kept walking down while whistling. My eyes widened, stepping on a fallen leaf. "Shit," I mumbled under my breath.
He turned around and I started panicking. My bow and arrows quickly transformed into any mode, following with my dagger. I hoped he didn't see the transformation, praying silently to the Gods. He stared at me, as I stared back, and I realized he was only a mere teenage boy, about my age.
His eyes were full of joy, even though he was clearly having problems with a girl. He blinked at me, a grin spreading across his face.
Why the hell was he not freaking out?
This never happened before, I never really found myself in a situation where I had to communicate with vocals to a human. He smiled at me politely, and I realized he was waiting for a response.
My voice wasn't working properly, while I took in the, handsome, human in front of me. Brown ruffled hair, lighter than Calum's and Athens', yet still a dark chocolate. His brown eyes were almost the same color as his hair, but more of a bright, joyful ball of brown.
I continued staring at him, and something bubbled in my stomach. It rumbled softly, but it was a good feeling. Something happy and joyful. It made me happy, like him. A longing feeling, as a thought ran through my mind.
My eyes widened at the thought, as I mentally slapped myself. I couldn't think that... no.
"Hi."
My head snapped to him, surprising me with his voice. His voice was a bit rough, yet it still gave me shivers.
I was to busy listening to how his voice sounded, that what he said sounded like gibberish. "Uh," my voice faltered. "hey." I silently swore at what I said, my voice going higher at the end making it sound like a question.
"I'm Mitchell, Mitchell Hughes. But you can call me Mitch," he said, quickly introducing himself.
I blinked at him, replaying his words in my head. Should I do it? Should I make friends for once or keep the ones I already have? I thought. Wouldn't hurt to try...
My eyes wandered to his, my hazel ones absorbing his brown. His smile on his face grew, if that was possible, and I smiled back.
"I'm Aphrodite Archer. But I prefer Lux."
