Evil in Riddles {Tom Riddle} (Wattys 2018)

9|| "....Murder"*

Serena woke up, then smirked. Today was the day that mudblood will die, and the day Tom Riddle will be gone forever. Oh, she just can't wait to celebrate.

She prepared herself and went to the Great Hall. Then, a professor came in.

"Attention, students! Today, I have a rather sad announcement"

Whispers were everywhere. Then, the professor shouted.

"BE QUIET! Anyway, Myrtle Warren, is dead"

Everyone gasped. But, no one cried. Some even had pleased expressions. It seemed that almost everyone had pleased expressions.

Then, the Aurors came in.

They went and took a boy by the arm.

"What are you doing?!" shouted the Slytherin boy.

"You, Ophelion Grey, will be brought to the Ministry of Magic for your crime of Murder to Myrtle Warren"

Everyone gasped, even Tom Riddle. Serena just frowned.

This what not what she expected to happen.

The Aurors and the boy apparated away, leaving a cold silence. Then, the professor coughed.

"Well then, that's it. Off to class" everyone started packing and left.

Crystal was eating quietly at the Great Hall. For once, she had peace.

But that peace didn't last too long.

Tom Riddle came walking towards her and grabbed her arm.

He went out of the Great Hall and pushed her to the wall.

"What are you planning on me?" He asked. Her eyes narrowed in plain, fake confusion.

"What are you talking about?"

"You know what I'm talking about! Why did you ask the Basilisk to kill Myrtle Warren?" She just smirked.

"Because I made a Horcrux"

He froze, and stared at her. Then, his eyes narrowed.

"How did you know about Horcruxes? How do you make them?"

"For one thing, it is written on Secrets of the Darkest Art. Also, there's only one way to make a Horcrux. And it's the most sinful thing on nature"

"What is it?"

"....Murder"

He looked at her, confusion and shock written on his features.

"Is there a spell needed?"

"Actually, yes. But why would I tell you?"

Suddenly, someone tried to get in her mind. Fortunately, Crystal knew Occlumency, and blocked it.

"How did you know Occlumency?"

"The question, Riddle, is, how did you know about Legilimency?" She said bluntly, then smirked.

"That's none of your business"

"Then, wanting to know how I knew Occlumency isn't your business either"

He just glared at her then left.

Serena woke up, and wanted to prepare for classes. Yet, as soon as she sat up from bed, she seemed to lazy to go to class. So, she flicked her fingers, and she was by the Black Lake. Suddenly, she swam in.

As soon as she hit the water, her hair emitted a very black glow, then grey, then green. Then, the glow went to her entire body. A few seconds later, she swam up and looked at her reflection.

Her hair became the darkest black at the top part, and dark green at the bottom. Her eyes also turned the same black as her hair. She shrugged it off and went to the Great Hall.

It turns out that the reason she was lazy to go to class earlier was because she woke up too early. As she went to the Great Hall, breakfast had just started.

Everyone gasped as they stared at her, shocked. She only rolled her eyes then went to the Slytherin table.

Serena didn't realize that someone was watching her, wearing a blue cloak. The girl only smirked.

Oh, she was her sister, alright.

Okay, so the sister part is practically useless for she will not be introduced until like, Book 2 (YES, I DO PLAN FOR A BOOK 2).

And also, this is actually slightly shorter than the other chapters. I'm just informing you.

Then, I also realized I did Serena's color change wrong. So, I edited this chapter in advance.
