After that trip, Serena returned back to her Manor. There, she once again remembered how Melody died for her.
She sighed. She was always the weird kind of friend, but she was one of the best. At least she told her the truth the first time they met.
---
Serena was on a Muggle street, muttering how useless and stupid Muggles are, or how Mudbloods should be destroyed.
Suddenly, she bumped into someone.
"Oh! I'm sorry!" The girl said, as Serena only looked at her weirdly.
"You're--"
"Oh! You know about magic! Follow me" the girl said and dragged her to a hidden corridor. Then, the girl faced her seriously.
"Are you a witch?" She asked, eyes narrowing. Serena just raised an eyebrow at her.
"Yes, I'm Serena Elizabeth Gaunt. Know my name?" The girl just stared, and after a moment, gasped.
"Oh! You're England's Princess! I apologize, your Majesty!" She said bowing down.
"Apology accepted. Who are you, anyway?"
"Melody Emerald Hale, a Fae, my Lady"
"A Fae?"
"Yes, my Lady"
"Well then, let's go"
She snapped her fingers, and suddenly, they were in her Manor.
"So, you're the Dark Lady?" Melody asked, and Serena nodded.
"Do you know the difference between Good and Evil? Why they lead such different paths?"
Serena froze. She didn't want to admit, but, she really didn't know. All she knew was that Good is Light, and Evil is Dark.
She shook her head, signaling Melody to continue.
"Good and Evil isn't really based on Light and Dark. Sure, there is Light and Dark in there, but that's not really it. The reason why they are Dark witches and wizards because of other people's choices.
If you never realized what Love really is, then you'll eventually lean onto Evil, even though you try to force yourself to be Good. Because that's why Evil is actually there. To show people the other side of things. To show the bitter truth of Reality.
Good, on the other hand, is a different situation. Yes, it's Light, and it has Truth. But, there is also Trust. Trust, for one thing, is something you can't control. Because Trust can lead to Betrayal.
That's why people have different sides, because Good and Evil both have flaws. But, remember one thing, you can never truly choose between Good and Evil, because it's already chosen.
So no matter which side you are, there's always a price to pay"
The moment Melody finished that sentence, she disappeared. Serena stood there, shocked, and curious.
She didn't know what to do now, but deep down, she knew.
She knew that she was already Evil from the start.
---
She still thought about Melody, wondered if she ever knew that she will die someday after that.
At least, she will have a better life, as a Pureblood witch she thought.
She once again stood there, wondering. But for a different reason, though.
She was now thinking of plans to destroy Tom Marvolo Riddle.
But, deep down, a thought lingered in her mind.
But did I really want to destroy him?
