It was the second day since the accident happened, and the teenager was sitting in a corner of the ward, with tears streaming down his cheeks as he shook in fear and disappointment.

The hospital was going to send her and her brother to an orphanage in Seoul.

They were probably never going to see each other again, and even if they did, she probably wouldn't even recognize him.

He reached for the necklace on his neck, the one which his lover had as well, and he clasped the heart in his fist, bawling his eyes out.

Gyeonggi-do, 2011, five hours before the accident

He watched as the love of his life emerged out of the school gates, smiling and happily chatting with one of her friends.

He was now 15, and she was now 13. And it was her birthday today.

And he had spent almost all of his allowance on a perfect gift for her. A custom-made necklace with both their initials engraved on a small metal heart.

He watched as she waved good bye to her friend, and walked away. It was the perfect timing.

Sprinting out from behind a tree, he approached the girl and covered her eyes with one hand, the other hand embracing her as warmly as possible. "Guess who?" he cheekily teased as she giggled and turned around.

"Happy 13th birthday to my little rose, Sooji!" He grinned as he swung the necklace onto the girl's neck and clasped it there.

"What is this?" She giggled as she glanced down at her necklace. He unbuttoned his uniform's top button and pulled out the exact same necklace that was hung around his neck. "It's a couple necklace. And your birthday gift as well. See? I have one too! KSY+JSJ! Kwon Soonyoung and Jeon Sooji!"

He loved seeing her smile.
