chapter 7

You arrive to wallman town. "Open up carmen!" Temi yells. The gate slowly opens and you walk inside.

"Hello new comers." A woman's voice comes from the side. Everyone's quiet not noticing you guys. "Nobody really minds anyone here for a while. But once they see more of you they'll talk your ear off." You continue to say nothing. Preston grabs your hand and squeezes it. "It'll be fine." He says gently and you continue walking together.

"Where are the children?" Emma asks impatiently. "It's dinner time right now they'll be out at about 7 O'clock." You arrive at a grey house all dark inside. "This is where you will stay until the boss arrives. She will tell you everything. This will most likely become your home as long as you're here." Temi smiles and walks out. You look around and go upstairs. You stare out the window of one of the bedrooms until Emma walks in.

"Zoe?" "Hm?" "Are we safe here?" Emma comes and sits next to you on the window seat. "I don't know. Don't trust anyone not even the kids until we know what this is." "Okay. Can I play with them though?" "Of course." You both smile and Emma goes back down stairs skipping. *ding*

I know it isn't safe. But I'm thinking about the others not myself. I know they wanted to come here so we can rest after being on the road for 3 days. We needed to come here. Maybe my mother is here...
You shut off your phone before anything else can be received from the number.

"Still getting those strange texts?" Preston plops down across from you and looks out the window too. "What's up?" Preston takes his attention from the window to you. "Nothing just not sure how I feel about this. Can't trust anyone not even the kids." "Yeah, Emma said you told her not to trust them either for now." A silence fell momentarily.

"I'm sorry." "For what?" "Earlier when you mentioned my mom and I blew up." "It's fine. It's a tough subject." "Yeah but I just don't feel right yelling at you when you just wanted to help." "You were focused on temi. Of course you wouldn't see how I Meant it. It isn't your fault you don't trust her." "But I trust you." Preston fought the smile trying to appear on his lips. "And we trusted you to make the right decision."

You say nothing and look back out the window and you notice someone is looking back. You don't see the face clearly but the hair color is a dark brownish color and a thin woman. "What?" Preston looks out the window and doesn't see anything. "Nothing."

After a couple hours you all decide to walk around the town and see what's going on. "Hello." A small frail man says from his porch. You nod and smile continuing on. "Zoe!" You spin around to see temi running at you. "The boss is back. Come with me."

You go to the bosses house and stand there in silence until the door finally opens. "Welcome." The woman says eerily. Something's off with her... "Hi." Emma says quietly. You all sit down in large leather chairs that Emma keeps squeaking. "Em!" "Sorry." You smile at her and look at the boss.

"I'm jen bowkin. Everyone calls me kin. Welcome to Wallman."
