I banged on the door for five minutes with no answer. I sighed and slowly dropped down to the ground laying on the door. The wind was freezing, and I felt as if I could die outside in this weather. Tears began to seep from my eyes as I thought they wanted me out, I felt useless, and this weather wasn't helping my mood. As the first sniffles escaped my mouth, the door swung open almost hitting me in the head. Jonah's head popped around the corner looking completely sad. He ran into my arms and wrapped himself around me with utter guilt.
"I'm so sorry Paige I wasn't allowed to let you in, and it killed me hear your cries," Jonah said as he wiped the last few tears from my cheeks. I felt comfy and loved as his gentle fingers swiped across my face. Being near Jonah felt like I had a teddy bear beside me. He helped me up and took my wet sweater and jacket off and handed me a towel to warm up by the fire. Zach was upstairs doing god knows what while Jonah was pouring me a glass of hot cocoa.
Once I was all warmed up, I sat beside Jonah who was on his phone on the couch near me. He smiled the second I sat down and cuddled closer towards me. Jonah started up Netflix and put on white girls; while watching the movie one by one they other boys trickled into the living room until we were all huddled together. I was now sharing a blanket with Jonah and Zach with me in between them hopefully making them not fight tonight.
Zach during the movie had his arm slithered around my waist pulling me closer to him while Jonah was more interest in the plot than anything. I smiled when Zach let me lean my head onto his chest.
Once the movie ended Corbyn rushed up and flicked on all the light causing me to go blind, I squinted my eyes until they got used to the light still wrapped in Zach's grip. I looked into Zach's eyes for the first time this night, they were soft, filled with pure joy and passion as he stared right back at me. Jonah at this point was long gone, most likely to bed and Zach and I were left alone cuddled in the blanket.
He was right next to me, and it felt almost as if he never was before like his entire personality was with me instead of only small pieces of him. I smiled as the boy kept looking at me.
Soon after, Jack quietly came down the stairs probably thinking everyone had gone to bed and headed right to the fridge. Not until I made an annoying cough did he notice we were here and slowly walked back upstairs with an apple in hand. I giggled as I saw Jack apologetically looked at me before disappearing up the stairs.
Once he left Zach cupped my cheeks with his hands causing me to giggle, he squeezed them tighter making me blush. As he removed his right hand from my face he brushed through my hair, and I smiled, he looked back into my eyes, and suddenly my eyes were forced closed my the force of his lips attaching to mine. I could feel Zach smiling in the kiss; it felt passionate like no other kiss we've had before. As we separated, I was still fascinated with his eyes.
"we should go to bed," Zach whispered and I nodded. We walked upstairs hand in hand. Zach led me to Daniels room and kissed my cheek goodnight. Once I flopped onto my bed, the only thing I could think was,
"I choose Zach."
