I groan, holding my head as I hear someone talking, their voice soft. I sit up, barely avoiding hitting my head on the roof of the cage I'm in. I exhale deeply, panic starting to set in as I realize I've been taken by some type of monster.
"Tori." The voice whispers again. I turn and my eyes widen. In the cage next to mine is Ben, and he looks terrified.
"Where are we?" I whisper back, and Ben shrugs in response.
"I wanna go home." Ben whispers and I reach out towards him, my hand barely able to touch his.
"I promise that you're gonna get to go home Ben." I say, trying hard to ignore the worry deep in my gut. I have no weapons with me, so I'm just going to have to think to get out of this one. I position myself in a crouch, ready to try and break the cage open, when someone starts to walk down the stairs. I glance at Ben worriedly, since I can't see who it is. Ben, however, doesn't panic. He reaches towards the top of his cage, relief clear on his face.
"Ben, Ben it's okay. I'm gonna get you out of here." Dean says, and I let out a sigh of relief.
"Dean." I say, and he rushes over to my cage.
"How the hell did this happen Tori?" Dean asks, the worry on his face making me feel bad.
"Something came through the window at the hotel. It had the same body as me, but it's face was a monster. It knocked me out, and I woke up here not that long ago." I explain, and Dean nods, a frown etched onto his face. He walks back over to Ben's cage and breaks the chain off, wrapping Ben in a hug as he pulls him out. I smile. Dean would've been a great dad for Ben. I shake my head, now is not the time. Dean comes over and breaks my cage open next. I climb out and give him a quick hug before continuing to let the others out. Some of the kids looked dazed, almost as if they were asleep. I look over to Dean and Ben, working together. Ben deserves more than a life like this, as much as it hurts for me to say. He deserves the normal childhood that only Lisa can give him. Not the childhood that comes with being a Winchester.
"Everybody cover your eyes." Dean orders as he starts to break the window. I turn around, slightly shielding Ben from the shards of glass. Dean frowns at the edges on the bottom of the window.
"Use this." Ben says, taking his jacket off and handing it to Dean. Dean nods and lays it out so that the kids won't get hurt as they climb through.
"Come on Ben." Dean says, and Ben shakes his head.
"Him first." Ben says, pushing another kid forward. Dean starts to lift the kids through the window as Sam rushes into the room.
"There's a mother changeling." Sam says.
"A mother changeling?" I ask, and Sam nods.
"There's one more." Dean says, and Sam rushes over to the cage that I had overlooked- the one with the adult.
"We've got to get these kids out quick." Sam says. "I guess that's why the changelings are keeping the kids alive- so the mom can snack on them." Sam adds. A blood curdling scream makes me whirl around. My eyes widen at who I can only guess is the mother changeling. I push the little girl that screamed behind me, glaring at the monster. I throw a fist at her and she catches it, twisting my arm. I groan in pain, but keep fighting her. I kick her and she backs up slightly, only to pull her arm back and punch me right in the face. The force knocked me into some of the building materials. I groaned, but pulled myself up. Sam, Dean and I were all fighting her while Ben was trying to help the other kids get out. This isn't fair. They're just kids. I pull my arm back and punch her right in the side of her face, the burst of anger rushing through me. She stumbles back and Dean goes after her, trying hard to keep her down. I glance back, relief flooding through me when I see Ben climb out the window. I glance at Sam, blood dripping out of his nose as he torches the thing. It lets out a long scream as it bursts into flames. We did it.
