I groaned as I rolled over in bed. I glance at the alarm clock on the dresser. 12:13. I sighed and looked across the room to the bunk beds where Sam and Dean slept. Nothing. I frowned, getting out of bed to go down to the kitchen. Usually, if Dean isn't in the room that the three of us share, he's in the kitchen. I was still mad at me for being mad at me about Scott, but that didn't mean that I want him and Sam to run off without me again.
"You have to tell her, Dean." Chris says, and I freeze on the stairs. I look around the banister into the living room, where Sam, Dean and Chris were standing having a serious looking discussion.
"I don't have to tell her shit, Chris. How long did it take you to tell Allison your secret?" Dean asks, his arms crossed.
"This is different, Dean. You don't have seventeen years to stall. You only have six months." Chris replies, his voice soft.
"I'm trying to find a way to stop it Chris. There's no reason to worry her, not when we can fix it." Sam argues and Dean sighs.
"There is no way to stop it, Sammy. I'm going to die and that's final. But I don't want to hurt Tori. We just lost dad, it hasn't even been a year. She's finally having a semi-normal life, and I don't want to ruin that for her." Dean says, and I swear my heart stops. My big brother, my rock, is dying. I stand up and walk down the rest of the stairs, not even bothering to hide the tears that started streaming down my face.
"What the hell happened on that hunt?" I ask, my voice barely above a whisper. Dean's face crumbles, and Sam shuts his eyes, pain clear on both of their faces.
"Sam died. He died in my arms, Tori, and I couldn't let that happen." Dean starts, his voice tight.
"Dean sold his soul to a crossroads demon so that I could come back to life." Sam says, his lip trembling.
"So I'll sell my soul to save you. Simple." I say, my heart starting to break as Dean shakes his head.
"No, Tori. Promise me that you won't do that." Dean says, his voice gruff.
"I'm not promising shit! I can't lose you too." I cry out, the tears flowing down my face. Dean sighs and steps forward, wrapping me in a hug.

"I'm so sorry Tori. Maybe Sammy and Bobby will be able to figure something out, but I'm not going to promise that everything is going to be okay." Dean says, his voice softer than usual. I don't know what I can do, but I know that I am going to do everything in my power to save my brother.

When I woke up, the sunlight was streaming in. I squinched my eyes shut, glaring at the window.
"Why the hell is the sun this bright?" I groan, before sitting up and grabbing my phone. 1:35. I cursed loudly as I jumped out of bed, throwing on the outfit that I had to wear to the funeral right after school. I saw no point in changing, since everyone at school already knew that I had connections to the "crazy lady that murdered a whole family." Little do they know that I'm also a crazy lady who has murdered people. Well, monsters and demons, but some looked like people too. I grabbed my backpack and rushed down stairs, frowning when I noticed that the living room was empty.
"And who might you be?" An older man asks, walking out of the kitchen. I jump slightly, then reach towards my boot where my knife was hidden.
"Victoria Winchester, I live here. Who are you?" I ask, still poised to grab my knife. The man laughs cheerily, shaking his head slightly.
"I didn't realize that you were here as well, my dear. I'm Gerard, Allison's grandpa. You can call me grandpa as well, if you want. I know that you don't really have many extended family members." Gerard says, a smile on his face. The smile didn't reach his eyes though, and that made me a little weary.
"Where is everybody?" I ask, frowning slightly.

"Your brothers and Chris went to search the woods for that missing girl. Allison is at school, and Victoria is at the store. I just came here to take a bit of a breather before the funeral." Gerard replies, and I bit the inside of my lip. He seems to be nice enough, but I've been fooled before. I open my mouth to ask him for proof that he is who he says he is, when the door opens and Mrs. Argent walks in.

"Oh hello Gerard. I uh, I see you've met Tori." Mrs. Argent says, her eyes wide as she looks back and forth between us.

"Yes I did. Her face isn't very Winchester though. She looks more like-" Gerard starts, but Mrs. Argent cuts him off.

"I agree. Now, can I get you a cup of coffee? Tori, where do you think you're going?" Mrs. Argent asks, and my mouth drops open for a moment before I shut it again.

"Er, I was going to go to school." I say, and Mrs. Argent shakes her head.

"No. You've already been home almost the whole day, so I called the school and told them that you were too upset to come because of the funeral." Mrs. Argent says, putting the groceries up and making a pot of coffee.

"Oh, well, thanks." I say, rocking back and forth on my heels awkwardly.

"Go on to your room. I'll come and get you before I leave to pick up Allison for the funeral." Mrs. Argent says and I frown, but nod anyway.

"It was lovely to meet you Victoria. I hope you can consider calling me grandpa." Gerard says, a wide smile on his face. I give him a quick smile back before I turn and rush back to my room. That was the weirdest encounter I have ever had with any of the Argents.

------

"I knew this was a bad idea." Chris murmurs as he guides Allison and I past the flocks of journalists to the chairs set up next to Kate's grave. My jerk brothers had decided not to come, but to still make me come since it was the excuse that Mrs. Argent gave the school.

"Well it wasn't my idea." Mrs. Argent fires back, a frown on her usually neutral face. Today was some of the most emotion that I had ever seen out of her. Something about Gerard showing up really rubbed her the wrong way.

"I tried telling him, but he insisted on making a point of it." Chris complains. Allison turns to me and raises an eyebrow, confusion clear on her face, I open my mouth to tell her who, but then Mrs. Argent starts talking again.

"Well then he can deal with it when he gets here." She huffs out.

"When who gets here?" Allison asks, the frustration in her voice clear.

"Your-" I start, but Mrs. Argent cuts me off, pushing us towards the chairs.

"Just sit down girls." She says, and I do, while trying to control the urge to huff back at the woman. I look around, hoping that Gerard would hurry up and arrive so that we could get the funeral over with. I raise an eyebrow when I glance behind us and notice Scott and Stiles sitting behind a gravestone. I nudge Allison and then nod towards them. She turns around and lets out an audible sigh of relief before turning back around and frowning at the guys walking towards us. I groan and drop my head in my hands. My brothers had dressed in suits and darkened sunglasses and were now surrounding Gerard like they were his bodyguards or something. I love them, but sometimes they go too far. Especially when they told me that they were going to stay at the Argent's house and try to figure out a way to save Dean. Well, Sam told me that, Dean told me he was going to go "get laid." I lift my head up when I feel Allison nudge me. Gerard smiles at me before turning to Allison.

"Do you remember me?" He asks, and she nods slightly. "Considering I haven't seen you since you were three, I don't suppose I can assume you'd call me grandpa. So if it's comfortable, call me Gerard for the time being. But I'd prefer grandpa. Hello again Victoria." Gerard says, smiling at both Allison and me. The rest of the funeral went by quickly, the only bad part, besides the fact that it was a funeral, was the constant clicking from the cameras of the journalists. They stopped shouting questions at us after Gerard came, but the click of the cameras wouldn't stop as well.

"Allison you need to go home and do your homework. Victoria, I need to talk to you for a moment." Chris says, ushering Allison to go with her mom. Gerard frowns at Allison walking away, but follows her and Mrs. Argent anyway, my brothers on either side of him.

"What's wrong?" I ask, bracing myself for the worst.

"We're going back out tonight. Make sure Allison doesn't know, I don't want her following us. I also don't want to run into anyone that you know from school." Chris says quietly, glancing towards Gerard.

"But-" I start, and Chris shakes his head.

"No buts. Just make sure they don't go out tonight." Chris says and I nod. Why would Chris want me to warn Scott?
