Not an Argent

"You know, the women in this family have always been the leaders." Gerard informs me as our small group of hunters walks through the woods.

"Well my family has always been dominated by male hunters." I say, and Gerard frowns.

"Maybe you could change that. Become a leader." He says, an odd look on his face. I just smile and nod. Everyone freezes as we hear a howl nearby. Gerard's face hardens and he motions us forward, all of us rushing towards the howl. Scott hadn't answered when I texted him earlier, telling him not to go to the woods tonight. So the probability that it was Scott howling, was 1 in 2, considering the fact that there are only two living werewolves in Beacon Hills now. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion when our group halts in front of a werewolf hanging upside down by his feet, just how Scott was the other night. It was a wolf that I didn't recognize, one that was definitely not a student at Beacon or a sourwolf with good facial hair.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?" Chris asks, and the wolf starts flailing around.

"Nothing, nothing I swear." He says, terror on his face.

"You're not from here are you?" Chris asks, the wolf continues flailing, ignoring the question until Chris points his gun at the wolf's head. "Are you?"

"No. No, I came-I came looking for the alpha. I heard he was here. That's all. Look, I didn't do anything. I didn't hurt anyone, no one living. He wasn't alive in the ambulance." The wolf says in a panic.

"Gentlemen, and lady, take a look at a rare sight! Victoria, you want to let the others know what it is that we caught?" Gerard asks, pointing to the wolf. I feel my face heat up as all of the hunters turn to me.

"He's an omega." I say, hoping that that's what Gerard was looking for.

"The lone wolf! Possibly kicked out of his own pack. Or the survivor of a pack that was hunted down. Maybe even murdered. And possibly alone by his own choice. Certainly not a wise choice. Because, as I am about to demonstrate, an omega rarely survives on his own." Gerard yells, using his sword to cut the omega in half at the waist. I clench my teeth together and glance at my brothers, concerned as to what we just got ourselves into.

"We have a code." Chris says to Gerard, glancing at me before turning back to the man.

"Not when they murder my daughter. No code. Not anymore. From now on, these things are just bodies waiting to be cut in half. Are you listening? Because I don't care if they're wounded and weak. Or seemingly harmless - begging for their life with the promise that they will never, ever hurt anyone. Or some desperate, lost soul with no idea what they're getting into. We find them. We kill them. We kill them all." Gerard yells, his voice ringing in the silence amongst our group. He turns to my brothers and I. "Can we count on the Winchesters to help us avenge my daughter?" He asks, looking at Sam and Dean quickly before settling his gaze on me.

"We'll help, but we will put the safety of our family first. If we think that continuing with your family will get us killed, then we will leave. Nothing is more important than family." Dean says, stepping forward. Gerard nods slowly, then looks at me again.

"You have school tomorrow, sweetheart, I think it's time to go home." He says, his voice again the softer grandfather voice that he used when we first met. I raise an eyebrow, but nod anyway.

"Yes sir." I say, biting the inside of my lip to keep in all of my sarcastic comments. What have we gotten ourselves into.

I sigh as I walk into the school the next day. Apparently, the Argents had decided to kidnap the principal so that Gerard could keep a close eye on Allison as well as myself. Why he wanted to watch me, I have no idea. I'm not his granddaughter, I'm a Winchester and I don't want to lead the Argents. I had decided to avoid all Argents, as much as I could since we live with them and avoiding them completely would be impossible. Dean drove me to school today instead of Allison, which kind of pissed off Dean because he had to get up before ten. I notice Allison and Lydia walking my way and I immediately duck my head into my locker so that I look busy.
