Gwen pushed open the office door and practically skipped over to Joe's desk, much to the bewilderment of her watching colleagues. She slapped the folder she held in her dainty hands on the desk, startling the doctor who lifted his gaze to meet hers.

"I got it!" She announced gaily.

"Got what?" asked Joe as he recovered from his astounded state.

"The answers to Ryan's mysterious disease!" She continued swinging back and forth blissfully.

"Are you sure?"

"Well, I am ninety-nine point nine percent that this will work. I just found an article that I had bumped into over a year ago. I couldn't remember where I had stashed it, neither did I remember the advice given on it but it had enough similarities with our current problem, so I went looking through my old files. It took me forever but I finally did find it and what do you know, the mysterious disease isn't so mysterious after all, it can be resolved after performing a few tests."

"Oh wow, what kind of tests?" Joe lifted his gaze from the article.

"I will tell you in the car, come on let's go show Ryan and see if he agrees." She picked her folder and whirled on her heel airing towards the door with Joe and a few more doctors hot on her heels.

Halima had just finished her rounds and was now ambling from the packed ward to the office. Today she felt different, despite the increase in patients with the mysterious rash, she had faith that the kind MSF doctors would find the cure now that the government had finally caught wind of the growing pandemic. Fifteen cases had been reported throughout the county, prompting the government to increase security and thus encouraging the runaway citizens to return to their abandoned duties. Enough nurses and doctors had resumed work in the past couple of weeks which in effect eased hers and the doctor's loads. Her first off day in over a month was scheduled for the next day and her elated gait gave away her mood to anyone who cared to notice. She smiled as she remembered the nice surprise that had been awaiting her when she came into work that morning, a parcel. Its contents would have bothered her had the sender been anyone else other than her twin sister.

Fatima knew better than to give handouts to her stubborn younger sister but the eleven minutes in age difference, always gave her an added advantage, whenever she needed to have her way. The last phone call between the sisters had been when Halima had finally moved from the hospital and into a one bedroom apartment two weeks ago. She had called her twin - and the only family member who knew where she was - to relay of her progress on living arrangements. Naturally, Fatima had offered to help purchase her furniture but Halima wanted nothing to do with their father's money, which more often than not, came with strings attached. However, the adventures of sleeping on the hard floor and surviving on black tea and brown bread had worn off really fast. As the second week in her new apartment rolled in, she was starting to grumble about her living conditions through their short emails. Fatima had clearly been waiting for the first sign of defeat because the minute Halima complained about back pain, a well-sealed envelope containing new bank notes arrived with her name on it, attached, was a stern warning letter to make sure she bought everything she needed. Her resolve to return the money had been crushed by her aching back, so today; she eagerly watched the clock counting down the minutes to when her shift would end.

"....and so I believe these are the tests we need to solve this mystery!" Gwen was explaining to a group of very attentive doctors when Halima made her way into the office. Ryan who was seated behind his desk, eyes glued to Gwen's file, lifted his gaze after the unmistakable flowery aroma wafted through the room. His hazel eyes locked with familiar auburn colored ones that threatened to drown him every time he found himself gazing into them. He smiled as a familiar sparkle lit up the feminine doe eyes.
