Alexa's P.O.V

The weekend was amazing. We spent it in Riley's apartment. I could tell Yasmin supported us. She really tried to make me like her, but she didn't need to. She was lovely. She was thoughtful and kind like Riley was. If their mother was anything like the two of them described, their traits did not run in the family. I got home last night and all I could think about was Riley. We were free to be together now that Heather had accepted the fact that Riley didn't want her.

I woke up feeling amazing, almost refreshed. I'll be seeing Riley today. I jumped up out of bed, I put on my white floral dress, I slipped on a pair of my beige boots and I straightened my hair. I applied a little bit of make up to my glowing face and I was ready. I made a coffee to go and I made my way to the school.

I got there, and everyone was ready for their lessons. My first class flew by. The second class went by just as fast. I was marking the students work and I came across Riley's work. Her script was amazing. The assignment was to draft a script, break it down, find the cast and then work on the budget. She worked her production down to the finest detail. It was about a girl who struggles with her disability: Epilepsy. It was well written, and I could tell she proof read it about three times because there wasn't an error anywhere.

It honestly puzzled me how she had the time to study with everything that went on between Heather, working and then me. But she did it to the best of her ability. I genuinely think she's going to go far in the film industry. She just need's a portfolio of her works, to network and then she'd have an agent in no time.

I got lost in grading when I heard the bell. I got up. "Okay guys, enjoy your day" I smiled.

Riley's class came in and my heart beat sped up rapidly. She lightly brushed my hand which sent shivers up my spine.

She stopped in front of me and beamed a wide grin. "Miss Scarlett, have you marked my assignment yet?"

I smiled. "I have Riley, it's really good. you've put a lot of thought and time into it." I beamed.

She threw me another wide smile. "I know. I enjoy doing these types of assignments."

She walked to her desk and I sat at mine. I scanned the room and I saw that Heather wasn't in. A knot formed in my stomach, is she okay after last night?  She doesnt seem mentally stable right now.

I hauled up the pile of assignments on my desk and handed them out. The majority of the class was quite bright and motivated. I had the odd drifters, but the majority of the class wanted to be here.

I heard "Oh my god I got an A+" to one of the girls.

I smiled over. "You deserve it." She gave me a grin and she went back to talk to her friends.

After everyone saw their grades I walked to my desk.

"I have to admit to you guys, that I'm really surprised. You all showed your abilities in that assignment. If you have any questions at all. Come and see me after class." I smiled.

The class stared at me and I could see the glow on their faces. There were a couple of students with faces like they'd just watched a horror movie, but I tried to push the guilt down.

I sat at my desk and a wave of negativity hit me.

All sudden the door swung open and two police officers stormed in. I looked over to Riley. My heart beat raced, my hands went sweaty, everything went into slow motion. My entire body started to leave me, I feared the day that this would happen; everything in my body screamed in turmoil. This can't be happening.

This is the end of Riley and I.
