C H A P T E R 24 | MY REAL NAME
"Good morning." Kathy smiles. I give her a smile as I rubbed my tired eyes. I had to start getting ready for school in a bit but as I waited for Haze to finish up in the bathroom I was downstairs instead.
"Morning everyone." My dad says entering the kitchen to pore himself some coffee.
"Someone's happy." I said.
"Happiness gone." He mutters once Haze enters the room.
"Hey." Kathy shakes her head. "There like kids." She tells me and I totally agree.
"What'd I miss?" Haze asked.
"I'll be upstairs." I quickly said, for some reason I was unable to be calm around Haze now that I realize I have feelings for the guy I didn't want him to know the truth.
"I'm still taking you to school right?" Haze asked as I grabbed my belongings.
I nodded my head in reply.
He looks at me curiously before turning back around and walking out. Phew.
This was awkwardness on a whole new level.
"Why are you acting weird?" He says as we hopped out of his car. "Your quiet and the Elaina I know never shuts up, are you still mad at me?"
"No." I told him stopping in are tracks. "It's that time of the month." I lied. "I have cramps."
Haze gives me and uneasy look before he smiles. "Well at least your not pregnant."
I let out a nervous laugh as we continue walking. "I'm really missing Greyson now that you mention it."
"I don't want any more kids after Greyson." He laughs. "But I mean accidents can happen."
"What do you have some secret child out there by one of your many booty calls?" I joked but he just kept quiet. "Your kidding." I said.
"Well I mean this one girl once called me and said I got her pregnant but she never called back after that." He shrugs. "Pretty sure it wasn't mine."
"Right, you always wear a condom." I said teasingly.
"So glad you guys are friends again." Aspen says as her and Quinn approach us. "We have something to tell you."
"You got her pregnant?" Haze says. "He does that a lot."
Quinn glares at him before Aspen continued. "We're officially boyfriend and girlfriend!"
