C H A P T E R 08 | I MISSED HIM
*knock* *knock*
Y'know the angry exhausting feeing you get? Like the time you had one dish left to wash and then someone comes along and brings you another plate? Yeah that feeling, that was the way I felt about hearing all these door knocks. I just wanted to be left alone.
I pulled the sheets above my head as the door opened up leaving a large bright light to hit me right in the face. It was sunlight. It was the next morning. I wonder what today has prepared for me maybe another kidnapping? Maybe another break in. Luckily I have no more parents for the universe to kill. This is what I called my life.
I peeked my eyes open again seeing that damn bright light still shining inside.
"You'll watch over her right?" I could hear Haze. I closed my eyes and listened.
"Of course we'll have her protected by the best security I got." Wills voice.
"Okay."
I could hear the ruffling of a piece of paper was Haze giving him money for my protection? What time was it? And I don't need protection!
"Meet Julian and Martin." Haze gestured over to the two large men who had blank stares. I had finally gotten the courage to wake up and get ready for the day and I guess also meet Martin and Julian my bodyguards I suppose?
I watched as they both went out of the room standing beside the doors.
"Can you guys please be quieter." Vince groans from the floor.
"You payed Will for my protection?" I asked Haze.
"I have to leave for class, I can't protect you all the time cupcake so when I'm gone they'll be here." Haze tells me. He leans down and puts a kiss to my forehead. "Be nice?"
I roll my eyes. "I'll try."
My eyes meet Haze's for a second glance until he turns around and leaves. I walked over Vince who was still sleeping on the ground. Quinn had left earlier this morning which left me all alone with him.
I kick him lightly making him groan. "What?"
"We have things to do." I said. "Get up."
I made my way into the very small confined bathroom where I began brushing my teeth and applying the slightest amount of makeup. Dark circles seemed to be appearing just after a sleepless night.
"Couldn't I just sleep in a little longer?" Vince asks reaching for his toothbrush on the counter. I watch as he applies some toothpaste.
"No." I mumble. "Hurry up and get ready." I spit the remaining water from my mouth and walk out. I put on some jeans and my leather jacket. Inside my bag I saw that wig again. That's when I had and idea.
