"Come with me" I said into Harry's ear once his sobs subsided. I could feel, each time his body shook, how horrified he was with himself after the adrenaline of what he'd done had worn off.
I let him lean against me as I led him to his room. I pushed the curtain aside and gestured to the right hand wall, where Harry's bits and pieces from the years had ended up. He frowned at me.
"Pick something that you don't mind getting rid of. I think we should take a little trip together so that we can get rid of your emotions" I said and Harry nodded, he seemed to understand what I meant.
He walked over to the wall and looked through the items, deciding which one he didn't mind losing. After a few minutes of deliberation he picked up an old toy car and flashed it to me. I saw that it was a red convertible, obviously something that he would've played with when he was younger. I nodded at Harry and lead him over to his bed where we sat down, cross-legged.
"Okay now I want you to meditate for me, on your own. I'm not going to join in so you can be sure that I won't accidentally pry on your thoughts." I said and Harry smiled weakly at me.
He closed his eyes and I folded his hands tightly around the toy car. I watched as his hands tightened and shook due to how tightly he was holding it.
"Okay focus on slowing your breathing until you feel yourself slipping away, but I want you to focus on my voice" I instructed him and watched few a minutes as his focused on slowing his breathing.
"That's good Harry. Now focus only on my voice and the emotions that you are feeling after killing the witch. I want you to focus on those feelings okay? Nod at me when you feel as though you have collected all of these feelings together" I said.
This took Harry a few minutes to do. I studied his face as his eyebrows knit together while he concentrated on collecting his thoughts together. He nodded at me and I smiled to myself.
"Now keep a leash on those feelings but focus on the car in your hand. Focus on the feel of it, how hot or cold it is, the curves of the body and the dents where windows should be" I said and watched as Harry breathed out heavily.
"Okay now grip the leash on your emotions and force them away from you. Feel them travel upwards so that they emerge in your hands. Push them down your hands and out into the car. Imagine the car filling up with your emotions, and keeping them trapped so that they can no longer reach you or anyone else" I said.
Harry's breathing was still slow and even but his face showed that he was having trouble grasping his emotions and shoving them into the car. Sighing lightly I waved my hand over his face and torso, but I couldn't feel the emotions that he was feeling earlier, in fact it was as though he'd skimmed away the emotions that troubled him. Sort of like how someone would blow the white froth off a coffee.
Frowning I looked back at Harry to see that he had a light smile on his lips. I breathed out slightly and watched him wiggle his nose as my breath blew across his face, it made him look as though he had an itch on his nose.
"Okay is that done?" I asked him quietly and he nodded his head slowly.
"Well done, now I want you to slowly wake up from your meditation, but do it in your own time" I instructed and watched as his breathing rate increased, and the breaths became less deep. His eyes fluttered open and he smiled at me.
"Thanks Lila, I feel better. What are we going to do with the car?" he said and I smiled at him before I slid off his bed.
"We are going to get rid of it. The car symbolises the old you, so that you could get of any unwanted emotions that may make it hard for you to fully accept yourself" was my reply and Harry nodded before walking around next to me.
