Ella's Flashback

"They're coming. Baby listen to me. You need to run." Jonathan's voice was soft as he held my hand. "Run as fast as you can."
"I'm not going to leave you." I told him, a tear slipping down my cheek.
"Those things are coming and they won't stop. Its already too late for me." he said, nodding to his bloodied leg. "I can't run from them."
"I'll help you. I'll- I'll carry you." I stammered.
"Listen to me. You need to go, please." He said. He was crying now.
I glanced down at his hand holding mine, his finger stroking the diamond ring he placed there.
"I wish we could have had our wedding." I choked.
"Me too. I love you, you know that right." Jonathan said, releasing my hand.
I looked out into the distance, realizing the danger we were in, just sitting here. A horde of zombie-like creatures slowly making there way towards us.
"Go" he looked straight into my eyes. "I love you. I'm sorry. Run. Now."
I was sobbing, but I knew I had to follow his directions. I got up shakily and began to sprint away from Jonathan.
"I'm so sorry," I whispered to him, although I knew he wouldn't here it.
