As Mr. Gron called out to Jake he stopped suddenly in the doorway, turning around to face his teacher. Mr. Gron was sitting at his desk, he was a tall man with a portly belly and if it weren't for his bald head some might have said he was quite handsome. Mr. Gron waved Jake over to come towards him, motioning towards some papers on his desk. "Here I'd like to show you something, have a look at this," Mr. Gron commanded as Jake walked towards his desk. When Jake got to Mr. Gron's desk he handed Jake the paper he was looking at. Now that Jake was holding it in his own hands he realized that it was a brochure, on the front page it showed a picture of a mountain. The artistic design of the brochure was very poor, it look like it only took 5 minutes to create, but Mr. Gron showed a keen liking towards it. "What mountain is this?" Jake asked questioningly. Mr. Gron explained that the mountain in the picture had no name, no one had ever made it to the top to give it one. While it was a mountain it was too small for any serious mountain climber to take on as it wasn't worth their time. "Furthermore," Mr. Gron went on to explain "I think this possess as an excellent opportunity for you, I know how you have always wanted to do something memorable, so why not climb this mountain and finally give it a name?" Jake was stunned he didn't know what to say he had never had anyone propose something like this to him before. Without even waiting for Jake's response Mr. Gron added that he could give Jake extra credit to help him pass the class if he made it to the top. "When would the climb happen," Jake asked. "Right now after school, I already got your parents permission to drive you," responded Mr. Gron. In no time flat Jake was already in Mr. Gron's Ford Focus driving towards the mountain. It had all happened so suddenly Jake didn't know what to thing. He didn't know if he was excited or fearful of what would come next.
