Chapter dedicated to James, standing tall literally and mentally. Dipper's point of view.

"Bill Cipher!" I yelled. "Where is she? What have you done with her?" Bill stopped cackling and twirled his cane. He jumped from the piano and landed smartly on the ground or ceiling.

"Yeesh Pine Tree. You sure care quite a lot for just a friend." He said with a very suggestive wink or blink. "But I'm sure you have quite a lot of questions for me and I'll do my best to answer them before you ask. Sylvester bring in Wendy first, oh and some tea. Let's make this civilised." One of the Siamese cats at the doorway bowed and left hopefully to get Wendy. Bill started to explain.

"So first things first, you beat me. Very clever Ford, I'm actually quite impressed. However during my reign I did plant several ways to get back around gravity falls. Luckily for you this bubble isn't one of those and I'm imprisoned in it forever." He paused. "With no powers!" He screeched, his eye turning red an ominous red colour. "Excuse me. So, to show that I have no grudge I propose a deal. I help you escape, that is to reach the bubble and in return I only ask that you place one candle next to my statue in the woods." This was confusing, a very calm, apologetic Bill. One that was offering a deal with very little downside. Then in walked Sylvester followed by Wendy. I got up and ran to meet her. I wrapped my arms round her waist in a hug.

"Wendy, I'm so sorry. I was so worried... I... thought you were gone." She returned the hug after a second.

"Thanks Dipper, I knew you'd come for me." I looked up to see her cheeks flash pink. Bill giggled while drinking his tea.

"Touching, I can already hear the wedding bells tolling." We looked at each other and immediately took several paces back. Bill cackled manically at our distress. "Pine Tree, Ice Bag that was classic. But back down to business. Do we have a deal." His hand shot out and he shook it a couple of times before giving up. "No powers again!" Ford, who had kept quiet up to now said.

"Let us just talk for a moment." Me, Ford and Wendy formed a circle. "I think this is a deal we can safely take, I mean he has no powers and obviously can't leave, otherwise he would have done so by now. And even if the candle by his statue is some kind of trick to free him. We don't have to do it. He can't get us when we leave here." I looked over at the dream demon who sipped his tea through his eye and then raised his hat to me in salute.

"I don't trust him. There's something odd going on here but I can't quite put my finger on it. Wendy, you've been here longer has Bill shown any signs of trickery. Actually first tell us everything that's happened." Wendy scratched her chin.

"All I remember is seeing red everywhere while I was falling. I don't know what I fell on but when I awoke I was in this motor home. Then it got really weird. Bill came in and served me sandwiches and attempted small talk." She shook her head. "But no he hasn't tried to trick me or make a deal once."

I sighed. It looks like we would be making a deal. Bill then popped up just behind us.

"Couldn't help overhearing but it seems Dippy Fresh here still doubts my integrity. Sylvester bring in the truth sock." The cat entered holding an old gym sock at arms length. Bill then placed it on his foot and spoke. "As wearer of the sock I may only speak the truth. Dipper, Ford, Wendy I fully intend to take you to the bubble so you may exit this universe and enter your own." He took the sock off and threw it to me. "There you go Pine Tree, all yours." I put the sock on.

"As wearer of the sock I may only speak the truth. This has been the greatest summer ever and I never wish it to end. I do not believe that Bill Cipher tells lies. I am sorry that I am not going to be Ford's apprentice this year. I believe that Wendy has the cutest freckles in existence and she looks incredible in her red swim suit. I still love..." I yanked the sock off as hard as I could. Bill cackled hideously whilst Wendy glowed bright red at the attention. After an awkward minute or two of this I approached Bill. "Okay Bill let's make a deal." Ford and Wendy nodded. We shook hands and Bill's eyes lit up just for a moment. He shivered and said.

"Sorry, I just get excited whenever a deals been struck. Makes life worth living."
