Wendy's point of view. Chapter dedicated to the British Weather, as unpredictable as Bill.

I stared at Dipper, trying to hold my emotions while comprehending what Dipper had just said. Mabel had told me about how Bill had taken over Dipper's body earlier in the summer during the whole sock puppet opera thing. I remembered that Red was what Bill had called me earlier so it all fit neatly into place. Dipper had made a deal with Bill while inside the bubble so Bill was able to go inside Dipper's mind and leave the bubble in that way, because of course Dipper could leave. So Bill lied about having lost all his powers but had clearly kept his ability to grant deals, that was why his eye lit up when he shook Dipper's hand. The pieces all clicked together. The truth sock though, that didn't make any sense, I thought back to what Bill said; technically he didn't lie, he'd planned this all from the beginning. All this went through my mind in maybe a tenth of a second, but Bill must of noticed some change in me.

"So see you tomorrow Wendy." He giggled nervously before turning and running headlong into the forest as fast as Dipper's legs could carry him.

"Ford, Bill's inside Dipper!" I shouted out and gave chase. For a twelve year old he could move pretty quickly, not as fast as me, but Bill did his best to impede my pace. I jumped over a fallen log Bill had placed in the way and flew over a ditch which Bill had skirted around cautiously. I dived on top of Dipper as he tried to duck and avoid me knocking both of us to the ground with me laying on top of him.

"Whoa, Wendy it's me." Cried Dipper.

"Whoa, dude that was so uncool."

I caught my breath and let him up, the others still hadn't found us yet. The second I let go of him he was running again though. I cursed at myself. Bill must have let Dipper take back control momentarily so he could make his escape. He didn't get far though, as Mabel found out before, Dipper's body has its limits and Bill had most definitely found them. In ten massive steps I rugby tackled him to the floor.

"Wendy, he's let me have control again. Keep me pinned here." Dipper's eyes flashed blue and burnt like fire.

"Let me up Wendy it's me!" Dipper cried, his voice taking on a more manic tone.

"It's not going to work Bill, nothing you can say will make me let you go." Dipper laughed crazily, his eyes burning blue.

"You sure red, you know Dipper's enjoying all this physical contact." He teased. I scowled at him. "You know he thinks far ahead, he already knows how he'll propose and where the wedding will be." I tilted my head with rage, I wasn't angry with Dipper but with Bill for rifling through Dipper's personal thoughts. "He's got a box under his bed with all the photos of you together. Oh it's so sweet red, you'd love it." I loosened my grip on Dipper and he began to struggle and broke free. At that moment though Stan and Ford arrived, crashing through the undergrowth. Ford scooped up Dipper in one fluid motion and Stan pointed a H.V.F.A at his head. Dipper began to thrash around in Ford's arms. Stan spoke.

"Listen up you one eyed demon, pointdexter here has modified the memory eraser just to target beings like you." He spoke calmly catching his breath. "So what we're going to do is, walk back to the bubble, you're going to leave through it nice and quietly and then we're done here." Dipper's eyes rolled backwards in their sockets.

"You're bluffing, you'd just shoot me if you could." Dipper said. Ford sighed.

"You saved Dipper, Wendy and myself tonight. We may as well give you an out." Dipper cackled.

"No you're still bluffing." Stan pulled back the handle on the firearm and it clicked.

"Try me." He said. Dipper gulped. Stan wasn't messing around. Dipper flailed in Ford's arms, screaming with rage before speaking.

"Yeesh OK, you've got me beat, you have a deal." Dipper extended his hand only for Stan to swat it away. Soos and Mabel arrived at that point and quickly Ford explained the situation to them. I was quiet throughout the exchange, being overcome by mixed emotions. Fear was there, anger was a big part of it, but also feelings towards Dipper which had grown even stronger. What Bill had said through Dipper was clearly intended to shock me (and it had) but did that mean it was true?

So we walked through the forest in somewhat of a strange procession, Ford carrying Dipper's body in the middle while the rest of us walked in a circle around him just in case Bill made a break for it. The H.V.F.A pointed at Dipper the entire time.

The cave entrance drew into view. The bubble's glow seemed to flicker inside.
