I know it's been so freaking long, but when I tell you... the end of the last school year and the beginning of this summer has been hell. I love you all! Thank you for continuing to support me.
Enjoy.
Giselle Monét
Giselle softly took hold of the syrup and poured it all over her strawberry waffle. She picked up her knife and fork and cut medium sized pieces.Family and friends were gathered for Giselle and Princeton's going away breakfast. They were all enjoying one another as they ate their meals at a local breakfast cafe downtown. Everyone was trying their best to take up both Princeton and Giselle's time before they took flight.
Giselle forced a small smile upon her face as Mama Sheila and her grandmother made conversation. "I'm really proud of you Giselle! You're going to do amazing!" Mama Sheila squeezed Giselle's hand soothingly.
Princeton could sense that Giselle wasn't feeling too well. She was either too sad, or too overwhelmed. It could be both.
He kept asking her if she was okay and all she could say was yes.
Giselle was not okay. This morning, she woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Instead of being cranky, she was very distraught and emotional knowing that today would be the day she left her family.
Her mom kept saying that she'll get over it as the days flew by, but Giselle more so didn't believe in that.
She took a deep breath and watched as her family socialized. There were congratulation balloons everywhere and some of her family members had even brought her gifts and gave her money.
She sat by Shianne and Halsey. Before the breakfast began, they were all in the bathroom comforting Giselle because she had experienced yet again, another mental breakdown.
She did not want to leave her friends. She knew that this was going to be hard, but she didn't know it'll be this damn hard.
Kassidy blew Giselle a kiss from where she sat, hoping that it'll make her feel better. Giselle cracked a small smile and playfully caught the kiss, putting it up to her heart.
"Come here. You too." Jamie spoke, pointing to both Princeton and Giselle.
They walked over to where Jamie was. Izan, Alessia, and Seth had joined them.
"It's gonna be okay." Alessia softly said, wrapping her arm around her daughter.
Being under her mothers warm touch caused Giselle to break down. Some of the family looked upon, awing at the sight.
"I don't wanna leave you-" Giselle cried, clinging on to her mom.
Hearing and seeing her daughter like this had Alessia ready to call everything off, but she knew she couldn't. Her daughter worked way too hard for this.
Not wanting everyone to hear their conversation, Alessia pulled her daughter to the side. She pushed Giselle's hair out of the way and gave her a heart warming smile.
"You strong, you know that?" She asked Giselle, kissing her forehead. Giselle Monét nodded, trying her best to wipe away her tears.
"I need you to stay strong baby girl. I really need you to keep your head held high and stay focused. You'll be moving all the way across the map... I'm not going to be there to hold your hand, that's why you need to stay strong before you leave. You're my only child Giselle and yes this is killing me, but I know the purpose. I know your purpose."
