Enjoy, my loves

"Great job Giselle." Mr. Carlio, Giselle's tap teacher complimented as she finished up her well choreographed tap solo.
"Thank you." She responded out of breath.
Today was exam day for all of her dance classes. She was more than exhausted and tired than usual. Her last class of the day was solo and duo Repertory and she was ready to get it out the way.
Instead of performing an individual solo, her and Frank agreed on doing a lyrical duet piece to "Halo" by Beyoncé.
She quickly entered the dressing room and changed into a red wine colored leotard that had a deep cut 'V' in the back. The top was sheer and decorated with roses. She slid on her black dance shorts, grabbed her bottle of FIJI water and exited.
She looked around, watching as everyone either warmed up with their partner or by themselves.
Giselle quickly spotted Frank and walked over towards him. He was seated over in the corner facing the mirror while talking to Hannah.
"I'm doing the solo I did last year, I just switched up bits and pieces of it. I didn't have time to make up anything new." She laughed, but nothing was funny to Giselle.
There were strict rules when it came to the dance exams. You couldn't re use any old choreography, nor could you get anyone else to do it for you. You had to do it on your own and every single piece had to be original.
Instead of entertaining Hannah's shenanigans since she was one of the many privileged white girls here at Juilliard, she politely asked Frank if they could go over the stunts that was within their dance.
He agreed. "Bye Han." He squealed to Hannah as he gave her a quick kiss on the check.
Giselle rose her eyebrows and on the slick, rolled her eyes in annoyance. She smirked once she noticed Julio laughing at her.
"Stop being shady." Julio shouted from across the room. No one payed attention to him since the dance room was already noisy as it is.
Giselle shook her head and flicked Julio off.
She prayed that she passed all of her dance exams. If you passed all of them, you get 4 weeks off from your dance strand, but you still had to maintain hours from outside dance classes each week.
If you passed all but one, you get 2 weeks off and that was it. If you failed all of them, or didn't meet the requirements, not only do you not have a break, but you're put on probation.
"Okay, so we most definitely need to work on our 5 seconds into the triple coupe and back into the 3 fouetté turns and a triple pirouette out."
Frank agreed and for the remaining 20 minutes they had to practice, the two worked on various parts of their lyrical dance.
