3 Months Later

"Happy Thanksgiving to y'all too!" Giselle smiled, hugging her Aunt Jamie and her Uncle Seth.

"I'm so glad to see you! It seem as if y'all been gone for forever." Jamie laughed, pulling Giselle into yet another hug.

Giselle giggled, leading them into the spacey living room. "It's only been 3 months Auntie Jamie!"

"Shit, 3 months too damn long."

She shook her head. "Lol, I guess. I'm about to head back into the kitchen to help my mom and the girls with the food."

They nodded. Giselle walked off and joined Kassidy, Shianne, Halsey, and her mom as they all helped prepare different dishes for this evening's Thanksgiving dinner.

"Jamie and Seth here." She announced, going into the refrigerator to take out the bottled water.

"Do you have any idea on when Sean and Nia will return with the marshmallows because I need to melt them on top of the candy yams." Giselle asked, going around the counter to stuff the canned drinks into the coolers.

"I know right. They left like 2 hours ago." Kassidy said, scrunching up her little face.

"Girl, you know how your mama and daddy is. They probably parked somewhere to get it in real quick." Alessia laughed, peeling the potatoes.

Giselle's mouth dropped and the rest of the girls busted out into laughter. Kassidy sat in the kitchen chair with the most disgusted look upon her face.

"Mama Alessia, really? Why would you say such a thing?" Kassidy asked.

Giselle shook her head. "You have no filter at all mama."

Alessia shrugged.

With all of the help she was receiving from the girls, about more than half of the food was finished.

"Dinner will probably be ready before 7." Alessia informed, looking in satisfaction at all of the dishes that sat on top of the dining room table.

Shianne agreed. "We getting a lot done."

"I have to go pick up my mom in a few, so just know that I'll be back in time for the dinner." Halsey pointed out, helping Kassidy wipe down the tables.

"Okay." Shianne replied. "Why Jamie not in here helping, hell." She rose an eyebrow.

"Girl, watch your mouth!" Alessia scolded, pointing over at Shianne.

"I'm sorry mama." She laughed. Giselle laughed right along with her.

"Jamie said she's been having stomach pain lately, so I told her she didn't have to push herself to help out in the kitchen. Plus, with all of you heifers in here bothering me I don't need the extra help." Alessia joked.

"Girl, bye." Shianne replied.

Shianne began running around the kitchen trying to get away from Alessia as she chased her around the counter.

Giselle loved the relationship the two had. Her mom and her best friend were total characters and it was always pure entertainment.

"I'm gone punch you in ya mouth the next time." Alessia bucked at Shianne. Shianne stared at her, sticking her tongue out.
