Giselle M.
I listened to the wonderful sounds of trees swaying, enjoying the blazing sun that shined down upon most of my revealed body and inhaled the amazing scent of BBQ smoking as I laid pool side doing what I called...tanning.
I've been home for nearly 4 in a half weeks now and today marked the 4th of July. So, of course my family hosted a big get together for everyone to come out and celebrate with us.
Just as I was about to turn over to warm up my backside, my aunt approached me with her big hair flowing flawlessly behind her as the wind blew.
"Giselle, you really just gone sit around thinking you cute until everyone else come?" My aunt Aliana asked with a sly smirk plastered upon her face.
I shook my head, waving her off. "Even then, I'm still going to sit around knowing I'm pretty when everyone eventually shows up." I re-stated, smiling softly.
"Girl you are something else." She laughed.
Before she could walk away, of course I had to ask. "Where's Gigi?" I asked, referring to her 5 year old daughter whom is my little cousin.
"She's with her other side." Aliana chuckled and I just knew she was referring to Gigi's dad side of the family.
I nodded. "You should've brought her here."
My aunt quickly shook her head. "Nah chile, I need a break from her bad ass sometimes."
Before I could respond, she spoke again. "Speaking of breaks, I know you're excited about this dance break. I know you need it."
