Chapter 1: A Farewell Kiss

"ELIZABETH!" cried the injured captain in agony. As Chandler threw Elizabeth out in the open and followed by Zeldris who slashed her skin with his demon spell, Meliodas, in anger left the battlefield to catch his lover.

"ELIZABETH!! OPEN YOUR EYES." he cried.

elizabeth;;

I'm sorry Meliodas, but I can't seem to open my eyes... It's not that I don't want to, but because I can't. My powers are tired... I am tired. But I'll try. With the little energy I have left, I don't think I can take it a little longer...

As winds pushed through my back, I was cold, lonely falling into the depths of my death. I could only hear silence. I could hear no other voice than Meliodas. And there, someone grabbed my hand. I was thinking I would be warm, but apparently we were both cold.

Was all that I could hear.

Open your eyes, dammit!

Oh Meliodas..

Guardians of Britain, hear my plea. Protect those who I love, guide them towards the good and remove the fear in their hearts. Wipe the tears falling from every face, bring them hope and happiness. My comrades, family, my love of my life, protect them. Do not let them mourn me on such happy days, and put me in their hearts as always.

I can die, but please let my child live. It is all I can give to Meliodas.

Protect my little angel.

Guardians of Britain, hear my plea.

I opened my eyes, and there Meliodas cried before me. He was angry, but when our eyes met, his anger vanished. I embraced him, and slowly kissed him. I cried. He cried. I wasn't ready to die yet. Not when we were having a family, but apparently Meliodas doesn't know it yet. And I bet he will flip out once he realizes it, tee-hee.

"Please let me go, Meliodas."

"I'll let you go when I'm dead."

"But I am the one who's gonna die."

"That would be the two of us."

"Please don't do this... We are fated like this, right? I will die, but I am reborn again. And I will love you with my will, and we shall be together."

"Dammit Elizabeth, what has gotten into you!? I have lost you 107 times all over. I waited 107 years to be with you forever, but apparently nothing has changed. I thought you said you'll be my last, but no, you'll die and I'll be lonely again."

I cried. I cried because it hurts. I will leave you, that's true. But I will give you a part of me.. A part of me that will never fade away.

"I'm sorry..." I sob. We were falling together still, both of our powers drained. I kissed him one last time, and removed his grip on my waist. I pushed him so hard that he landed a few miles before me. I took a glance at the bottom pit beneath me, with gigantic spikes.

And there my human life, has ended.
