Chapter 21: Brother or Lover

❝Brother of Lover ❞

A beeping sound coming from Diane's ear lobe tuned. She pressed the little button and Merlin's voice spoke.

"All of you, escape the realm as much as possible. I'll transport you here in the Boar Hat but I can't do it all at once. There will be a time lag, so I will transport each of you individually."

"But what about captain?"

"Don't worry, we've got everything planned."

"What is that Meliodas up to now.. I... Diane I need to go to him!" cried Elizabeth.

"No, we have to go now. He can transport captain too." said Diane.

"It looks like I'm disappearing. See you guys at the Boar Hat." Escanor, who was slowly disappearing waved goodbye.

"I... I know a way out." the goddess muttered. The princess took a glimpse outside if there are any guards looking, and signaled with her hand as King and Diane follow her outside of the dungeon. They tip-toed their way out, not letting a single footstep be heard.

As they reach a room without being caught, which was a weird thing to Elizabeth since there are hardly any guards who doesn't go walking around the halls.

"Woah, is this your room? It's so pretty." gasped the giantess, who scanned the room full of flower collection, leaves and even potions.

"Riri! Thank the angels you're here." Elizabeth ran towards the window where Riri is standing, the silver phoenix flew at Elizabeth's fingertip and layed its head on her neck.

"Oh I miss you, come on, let's go out."

"Caww."

Elizabeth moved her bed slightly only to see a little opening hole beneath.

"Hide here while I watch for any guards."

"A-are you sure?"

"Yes. King-sama, please protect Diane. I still have some important matters to do."

"W-wait! Elizabeth-" Diane was cut off as she closes the lid. She returned the bed to its position.

elizabeth;;

I still have a feeling that it's not Meliodas back there. B-but where could he be?

"Caw!"

"What?"

"Cawww. Caw!"

"He's been caught?!" I... Oh no! I.. Mother will kill him! Oh what do I do what do I do... I know. I walk outside of the room, and shouted.

"Hey!! I'm here! Hey!"

"Wha- it's the princess! Get her!"

That's right... Come and get me. Three angels approached me and forcefully push me, the other holding my elbow. They drag me to who knows where and I struggle to their tight grip.

"Where is Meliodas." I glared.

"Oh you'll like the show, princess."

"Your highness, the princess is here."

"Ah, my daughter. I'm.. I'm sorry for what I've done to you. I have been a very bad mother.. Now I see your wounds are healed, take a seat darling." We were on a stage, two seats prepared for mother and I, and in front of us is a crowd, a huge crowd. Beneath it was Meliodas.. hands tied shut to its extent.
