"Merlin, Ellie's fever is still high." Said a worried Diane.

"Don't worry pumpkin, you'll get better in no time. I'll be back to get you some herbs."

"M'kay" said Ellie.

"Ban, don't do anything reckless."

"Ts, fine fine."

I headed out to find some herbs for Ellie at the Garden of Fairies. It is the property of the Fairy clan, in which King gave me access to enter. Every herb is there, healing, crafting, and herbs for potions are available. I often come here for my experiments.

A twist of knot was tied to my stomach as I exit the garden. I immediately hid above ground and two druids were talking.

"Hey, have you heard?"

"About what?"

"Elizabeth's been meeting someone secretly."

"That's good,"

"No! It's definitely not good. I trained so hard just to please her, so she would like me better."

"Cut that crap out, Elizabeth will never like you."

"Hey I could dream you know."

"Why do you suppose the Supreme Deity erased all of Elizabeth's memories? She even revived her.

"I know the story, and to who she fell in love with. Maybe the Supreme Deity didn't want them to be together."

"Hey, she told us to never say a word to anyone. Not even a curious puny human."

"I'm not in for treason ya know. My guts isn't that strong to turn againat my clan."

"Come on, let's head back. We need to bring back the herbs."

Oh, interesting. I should head to meet with Elizabeth to confirm certain things. I return to the Boar Hat to see customers starting to regain. We closed the tavern ever since the both of them died. We've gone to our own seperate ways for a while, and I took Ellie with me. Though, as for Ellie's existence, we kept it a secret to the world especially to Liones and the royal family. Elizabeth's father, Baltra can see the future so right after Ellie was born, Gowther acompanied me to twist a little of his future vision.

Without enough proof of what Ellie is, we can't let her roam into Britannia without knowing who she really is.

I enter Diane's room and saw Hawk beside her bed, and Ban on the rocking chair, sleeping.

"Hawk, how is Ellie?"

"She's still hot but she's okay."

Ban rub his eyes and yawned, glancing at Merlin.

"You look like a granpa." I said.

"Am I that old? Geez, I'm an uncle."

"Hey, pumpkin. How are you?"

"O-oba.. I'm ok." I caressed her hair and placed my hand on her forehead. It's still hot. I took out the herbs that I made into medicine and assist her into drinking it.

"Rest for a bit and let the medicine slowly spread in your body fluids."

"Mm-mm." She said.

"Why can't she heal herself?"

"She doesn't know how yet. She's still learning, Ban. Don't rush the child."

"Whatever. Hey, get well okay?~"

She nod at her idiot uncle and gave us a warm smile.

I exit the room and saw Diane serving customers with ale and King looking closely at some guys who Diane serves. Gowther, dress in the bar's uniform also helped Diane serve.

People here are starting to get busy, so I'll be heading my way. I've still got some unfinished business to do.

I've used my transportation orb and located myself at Elizabeth's room. She's not here, so where in the world might that girl be.

A knock was heard when I roam around her room. It was large, larger than her room in Liones. I already knew the prescence was Elizabeth's so I acted normal. I closed the door and we faced each other.

Blinded Ears. I chanted.

"Oh, hello Merlin! What brings you here?"

"You look awfully happy, sis-sis."

"I'm always happy, don't worry."

"I'm here to report to you about the demon child."

"And what is it?"

"I haven't figure it out yet. It seems to it will take her some time to grow her powers. And what about the other one? Did you capture him?" I asked, and her eyes were locked on mine. Not threatening, but a hint of fear was there.

"...N-yes! Yes I have. I, I'm doing experiments."

"You hesitated."

"I didn't."

"You did."

"Fine, I was meeting with him. But only because we made a deal that he would help me with my experiments."

"How many days have you been meeting?"

"Well I.. Maybe for a week?"

"Elizabeth, with your knowledge an experiment can be done within 3 days. 3 days  sis-sis, and you're still meeting with him. And what will become of you? A goddess who is a traitor to her own clan?"

"It's not my fault I like him!" She burst out.

"I didn't say anything about liking someone."

Her eyes widened, and her hands covered her mouth in shock.

"I knew it, you've started to like him don't you?"

"I'm so sorry Merlin, I-I didn't know what to do. My meeting with him was to eliminate him and not end this way, but I couldn't take control of my feelings I... I can't!" She burst out in tears, and kneeled. Some things never change, you're still a crybaby.

"Get up. I won't tell anyone."

"That's okay, they've... They've probably heard our conversation."

"Don't worry, I used blinded ears. Nobody can hear our conversation."

"I'm sorry Merlin. I'm a traitor to my own clan." She sobbed, and sat on her big bed.

"Is that why you've been going out much lately?"

"..Yes."

"Besides me, does anybody know?"

"No, just you."

"Does he know?"

"That I like him?"

"Yes."

"No.." She sniffed, and looked below while behaving like a little child.

"Is that so? Well, I need you to be careful, sis. It's not common for a demon to like someone, especially a clan like the goddesses. You should be aware of that. Demons are your enemies. Our enemies."

"I know, and promise me Merlin that you will not tell anyone."

"Fine. I will."

I'm sorry captain, it's not that I'm telling these things to hurt you, it's because I need to hurt Elizabeth. Some day, and we'll take you back together. Both of you will love Ellie, just as much as how we love her.
