As children, we we're all made to believe in fairy tales, in dreams that come true, and that someday, someone will love us for who we are and what we are. Stories about princesses being saved by charming princes on their white horses, defeating wicked witches flooded our minds and sure enough, this had led us into our fair share of wishful thinking.

Growing up though, and beginning to understand that fairy tales aren't real, and magic don't exist, shattered our beliefs. Painful experiences and all these wars raging all around us - children getting hurt, people getting killed, and all the general bad stuff - has taught us that this is a cruel world we're living in. It's a world where even that one person we thought could save us from ourselves isn't perfect.

For this very reason, most of us have become very hostile towards life. Pessimism became our default for every stressful situation when it should be optimism. We all started believing that after the sun shines, there's going to be heavy rain when it should be the other way around.
