Chapter 25: Baptism by fire

Jimmy's POV:

"I get to go home? Fuck yeah!!" I say as the doctor brings my discharge papers, I've been here for a week.  Chloes chilling in the chair sleeping next to Haley and Rachel is sitting next to me. 

"Babe this is great.  Hey, sleeping beauty's wake up! We get to go home."  Chloe and Haley snap awake as Chloe wipes drool off her chin and Haley wipes it off her forehead. 

"Chloe, that's gross.  You drool when you sleep." Rachel and I laugh as Chloe wipes her drool hand on Haleys face.  As they start bickering like a married couple, Rachel helps me up out of bed and I call mom and let her know I'm coming home soon.  We leave the hospital and we all fit into Chloes cab, her truck is only enough for 3 people but Chloe and Rachel and Haley are all pretty small, so we all fit but barely.

"So off to moms?" Chloe said. I laugh.

"Moms?  Is she your mom too now?"  Chloe shoots me a look. 

"Yeah you are back to normal now." Haley and Rachel both laugh, Rachel is sitting next to me and grabs my hand.  I missed this. It was stupid for me to try killing myself.  Haley, Chloe and Rachel are all gonna rip me a new one when we get back to moms. I already know this.

"You guys are gonna take it easy when we get to moms... right?  We need to head back home tonight or tomorrow."  I say, terrified of the answer I am gonna recieve.

"Oh no, you are gonna get it big time, not even at your moms, but when we actually get back home.  You are in sooooooooo much trouble."  Rachel says as she squeezes my hand tighter, it's starting to hurt actually when I look up and notice her giving me her death glare, it's beyond cute now. It feels downright murderous.  Sort of like 'how we are in public but she can't kill me yet'  that kind of glare. 

"And don't get me started on what I'm gonna fucking do, let alone Chloe and Max." I'm not so worried about Max, she'll just scold me, but Haley and Chloe... I may take my time heading home.

"Come on, take it easy I just got out of the hospital. I'm sore still and I have to drive home."  I say as Haley looks past Rachel at me, "Boy if you don't shut up I'll beat you here and now, I'll climb over Rachel and do it." 

"Ooooo scary Haley, I'm so scared."  I should just shut up. 

"That's it, Chloe, when we get to moms take Rachel inside and I'm gonna have a 'talk' with my brother."

"Hale, take it easy a little we don't need to send him back to the hospital do we?" Chloe grabs her hand and kisses it.  Which happens to calm her down a little.  I text Chloe a quick thank you and then Rachel turns my head and kisses me. 

"I missed my old Jimmy."  She smiles and lays her head on my shoulder until we get to moms. When Chloe pulls up I get out and hobble inside since I'm still sore. 

Hehe got away from Haley.

"No you didnt."  Oh shit she's right behind me.

"Jimmy, are you sure you are well enough to drive?  You look horrible."  She walks in and places a hand on my shoulder.  "I'm not going to hit your or yell at you. I just want to know why you did what you did. That's all." 

"Haley, mom got sick and I felt horrible that I wasn't here to help her when she fell.  I hate that I wasn't here I hate how our dad hates me but pays for shit for me. Like, does he love me. Or does he not.  I hate that I hurt you so much, everytime I turn around it seems I'm hurting you, I'm sorry Haley I really am.  I also hate how I let Rachel down.  I told her I'd start talking to her more about this stuff but I just can't bring myself to do it.  I need help Haley, I need a lot of help, I could've died and you all wouldn't have known what to do."  I turn my back on her and walk out of my room. 

I hate how I can't talk.  I hate how I have to keep it all bottled up. 

I check my phone and see a text from Victoria.... how the fuck did she get my number?  It's a link to a video.  I tap on it as Haley walks in and sit in awe as I see its me.... peeing myself....

"Haley, what is this?"  I show her and her face turns 50 shades of red.  She's mad, I've never seen my sister this mad and trust me, I know just what buttons to push but this is beyond my capabilites.  "Haley, calm down, tell me who did this and what they wanted." 

"Nathan..... Nathan uploaded that and he found out from someone at Blackwell that you tried killing yourself... I'm gonna rip his fucking still beating heart out and bury him in a shallow fucking grave alive."

"Haley, we can't do this.  We won't be able to touch him, as much as I hate to say this. We need dad if you want a shot at Nathan now."  It really really pains me to say that.  I hate my father.

"Now pack your shit, and let's go. I'll tell Chloe and Rachel the same."  I head out of my room and meet Chloe and Rachel talking to mom.  "Hey mom, we are heading out in thr next hour or so.  Gotta be back to school quick."  Chloe and Rachel mope, "Don't be sad, mom's gonna come.during christmas, so we can all have fun again then.  That perked them.up a bit.  Rachel kissed my cheek and Chloe fist bumped me.  "Mom, im sorry I'm a fuck up of a son.  I should have been here sooner for you, I should have left dad's and come to live with you.  I'm so sorry...."
