Chapter 37: I'm so sorry

Haley's POV:

This sucks it hurts to breathe, it hurts to pee, and it hurts to bathe. Jimmy has been here for a week now and hasn't once left my side. He truly is the best brother ever.

"Haley do you need anything?" Jimmy asks as he is sitting there watching One Piece on his phone.

"Not right now, you need to eat soon. You haven't eaten since you've been here. Please eat something."

"I'm fine Hale, Rachel and Chloe should be here soon, school is almost over for the day and Rachel is coming as soon as it's done. Max still doesn't know." Jimmy says as he looks ashamed.

"Max is going to pop a blood vessel dude. One of you guys needs to man up and tell her." I say scolding him. "I'm not going to be in that aftermath."

"Relax Haley, we got this." The doctor comes in and looks at me with a serious look.

"Ms. Carswell, we have some bad news, Jimmy, you'll have to leave the room." The doctor says.

"I'll stay and hear this too. Whatever you can tell her you can tell me too."

"He can stay, I don't want him to leave." I say as I grab his hand.

"Well Ms. Carswell, we ran some tests that your brother asked us to about that night, and I'm afraid the test came back positive." Jimmy starts shaking and I see his face turn entirely deep red. He's mad.

"What do you mean 'tests' what the fuck did you test me for?"

"Haley, you were sexuality assaulted by your Father. I'm sorry I have to bring you this news, and I'm sorry this horrible thing happened to you." My whole world just flips upside down....

"What?" Tears form in my eyes as I'm taking this in. "Jimmy?" I grab his hand tighter and he gets up and hugs me.

"Haley, he's going to pay. We are going to press charges against him for this. The sick fucking bastard is going to rot in prison for life." Jimmy says as he keeps hugging me. I push him away and let go of his hand.

"Leave me alone!!!!" I yell at him as I throw my lunch tray at him. "I HATE YOU!!! YOU LET HIM DO THAT TO ME. I HATE YOU!!!" Jimmy looks at me heart broken.

"I'm so sorry Haley.... I am so very sorry...." He turns away before he starts crying but I don't care. He fucking ruined my life. As he walks out the door Rachel and Chloe pass him,

"Hey Jimmy. Where you going?" He pushes past them as they both look at me in tears.

"Oh my god Haley, what the hell did he do? Do I need to kick his ass?" Rachel says. She is about to head out as I start crying more.

"I yelled at him and told him I hated him.... I didn't mean it though and now I don't know where he's going. The doctor told me my dad secyally assaulted me and I blamed Jimmy...." Rachel and Chloes jaws drop.

"Haley, I'm so sorry. I'll go hunt him down and bring him back."

"Go, get him back tell him I'm sorry." Chloe dashes out and runs down the hall trying to find him. Rachel stays and sits next to me. "Haley, I'm here, Jimmy will come back. He loves you no matter what, and so help me if he cuts himself...." I start crying more. I don't want to be the reason he slices his arm open...

Jimmy's POV:

Fucking stupid, stupid stupid. She hates you, your own fucking sister hates you now.

Every stupid, my arm gets a fresh cut. I'm such a failure. My dad hates me and is in prison now and my sister hates me now the one person I never wanted to fail. "It's only a matter of time before Chloe and Rachel hate me too."

"Why would he hate you bud? We love you." Chloe says scaring me. I hide my arm behind my back and back away slowly. "Jimmy, what are you hiding? I back away more and she starts advancing.

I'm so fucking dead

"Jimmy, so help me god tell me what you are hiding before I use your full name." I sigh and hold my arm out. "JAMES CRAIG, WHY? DUDE THAT'S SO BAD." She runs at me and hugs me. "Nothing anyone says or does should make you do that..... Rachel is going to kill you dude. We need to get that taken care of fast."

I open my trunk and I have some long sleeve shirts that I keep just in case along with a med kit. Chloe opens the med kit and cleans the cuts and then wraps them. "Put that shirt on and make sure your cuts are covered. If Rachel finds out I helped you hide this, she's gonna have my head too. But Haley wants you to come back, she didnt mean what she said." We start heading back inside as I see Max run into the hospital.

Oh shit....

"Chloe did you just see Max run in there? Oh god we are fucked." Me and Chloe lock eyes and we both swallow hard. "We are so dead."

Chloe bows and holds her arm out indicating I should go first, "Ladies first."

"Well you aren't a lady, that's for damn sure." She smacked me upside the head, okay I deserved that.

We walk into the hospital and Max tackles me with a hug. "Thank god you are okay, Rachel told me what happened and that it happened a week ago...." I feel her hug tighten as I know what comes next. "Uh Max? I'm here too." She let's go and hugs Chloe, "Jimmy don't even think about running. I've not even started with you yet." Chloe looks at me and winks and motions for me to go to. I sneakily walk away as Max starts blowing up on Chloe for not telling her.

I approach Haley's door and walk in hiding my face. "Hey.... Haley, I'm sorry."

I get greeted with a hug. "No Jimmy, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said what I did. I'm a horrible sister. Why are you wearing a long sleeve shirt? That's not your style."

"It's okay Haley." I hug her back, I'm just cold that's all. Rachel is behind Haley with her arms crossed a glare on her face that would scare a ghost back to hell. If she knows what I did, I don't even want to think about that."

"Jimmy, Haley said she doesn't blame you and that you are her brother for life. Now let's get her back on the bed. She needs to rest." Haley being 5'5 and about 130 pounds, she's easy to carry.

"Hopefully you'll get released soon, that'll be nice. Chloe can help take care of you when I'm not there." I smile at her as she smiles back.

"James Craig you are in so much trouble, why didn't you let me know what happened to Haley? I was worried when she didn't come to class for 3 days, and the 4th day I got down right scared for you guys. I asked everyone where you two were and Rachel even told me she didn't know." Rachel looks down her feet and fidget with her bracelet. "You guys, how many times do I have to say that I need to know what's going on?"

She moves to Rachel and starts a tyrade on Rachel, "How many times do I have to say" I repeat in a mock voice as Max immediately turns on me. "Did you just mock me?" I start running and Max is right behind me. "You are in so deep now!" I run around the nurses station and back to Haley's room and shut the door. "Chloe can deal with Max and her tyrade right now." Rachel busts out laughing and Haley forces out a chuckle too. "Chloe is going to kill you, you know that right? And when Max gets in here your ass is done for." Haley says as I try not to laugh. "I love you guys so much."
