What It Takes to Be Infinite.

Deep within Doctor Eggman's lab Infinite was in his room thinking things over his mask was on the bed as he was looking out a window he had one arm wrapped around him and the other sort of the same bit his hand was near his face and he held something.

Infinite sighed before looking at what he was holding it was a locket he had wanted to give Liarel but the day he was going to was the same day Eggman took her away and locked her up, the Jackal just looked at the locket it was shaped into a silver hear and on the inside was an image of the both of them when she became part of his squad fully he closed his eyes closing his hand and leaning it to his muzzle.

A knocking was heard Infinite opened his eyes and his tail twitched a little before he put the locket away and laid his arm around him as the door was opened.

"There you are..." he heard the doctor say

Infinite didn't respond right away as he looked towards him. "Yes Doctor?" He asked he tried to hide the hint of anger in his voice

Eggman just looked at the Jackal for a moment. "What are you even doing?" He asked

Infinite just looked at him he didn't really want to talk to him he looked away and sighed. "I guess I can't just think to myself..." he said lowly

"Infinite we are close to the day of the plan... we can't just stand around!" Eggman stated

"I am well aware of that, Doctor." Infinite replied moving to the bed and grabbing his mask.

Eggman just looked at him as the Jackal put the mask on again and looked at him.

"Then got out there, Infinite!" Eggman stated before he left the area

Infinite growled and his hand turned into a fist growling to himself before he took his leave out of the lab.

Meantime Liarel was still in the Resistance's base she had thought to herself of what she should do and her mind was also on Infinite and what was going on with him, she opened her eyes and sighed as she looked towards the door of the room.

She thought for a little longer before she decided that she was not welcome here anymore ever since Shadow forced her to reveal her history with Infinite, the female jackal grabbed what she could before heading out most of the resistance were asleep so she slowly and quietly headed out of the base.

She got as far as to the entrance before she heard.

"Liarel?"

The female Jackal looked to see Sonic looking at her the two did that for a few moments before. "Where are you going at this hour?" The blue blur asked

Liarel sighed and looked away. "I'm leaving Sonic..." she replied

Sonic just looked at her. "Liarel... why you don't have to I said to-."

"I know what you told him Sonic... but I can't be here anymore... I don't trust Shadow and by far I know he doesn't trust me." Liarel said looking back at him

Sonic continued to look at her before he sighed. "Alright... just be careful out there..." he said

Liarel seemed a little stunned to hear him say that and Sonic saw it in her face he smiled a little. "There is no point in trying to convince you... I don't know much about Jackals but I do know you can be stubborn in arguing so I will not..." he continued

Liarel continued to look at him before she fixed herself a little and nodded. "Thank you... Sonic." she said

Sonic nodded to her smiling Liarel then headed out of the base to where she didn't know.
