What It Takes to Be Infinite.

Once they were out they saw that the replicas were disappearing from the battlefield and they were all cheering for their victory.

"Finally we won yes!" Shadra cried out.

Sonic looked towards her and smiled. "Yes we did Shadra..." he replied

Shadra looked at him she smiled and blushed a little more.

"Wait, what's that?"

Everyone looked to see a red beam coming towards the ledge, Sonic looked at it curiously. "Can it be?" he asked

And once the Beam landed it disappeared to reveal Infinite and Liarel lying on the ground, everyone gasped in shock to see them there while Sonic and Shadra stared at them the feline wanted to move to them but then Infinite moved his left hand to his mask but as he did it cracked in his hand and fell off of his face completely he groaned a little as he sat up he didn't seem to care that the mask crumbled to pieces and off him as he moved the hand over his left eye and they both were closed.

Infinite then looked down to the Ruby still on his chest he noticed a crack in it as well he moved his hand from his eye to it and toughed it lightly and it crumbled the moment he did, the male Jackal sighed slightly in relief before he looked around and he saw the stares from the resistance he groaned a little more before his eyes laid upon the motionless form of Liarel the Jackal.

"Liarel!" Infinite said before getting up quickly and moving towards her.

The female Jackal didn't respond or move the male Jackal saw a massive wound over her stomach area and blood was coming out of it,Infinite began to panic he got up and ran to her before he grabbed her, the female Jackal's form was limp her head and left arm hung to the side and she was not breathing.

Sonic and the others were just watching this happen before them not many knew what was coming but the ones that did some of them felt sorry for the former Masked Jackal.

"Liarel please, don't be died." he said holding her close to him tears falling from his eyes. "You're all I have left!"

Sonic and Shadra heard what he said and the purple cat looked around before she slowly moved towards the two.

Sonic and the others watched their rookie some protested but Sonic followed close behind Shadra, they got close to them before they stopped to see a slight purple glow from the female Jackal.

Infinite pulled away and looked to see the glow that was soon followed by some crystal-like substance moved quickly over the wound.

Infinite, Shadra and Sonic just watched as the crystal stuff formed then disappeared just as quickly they were confused before Liarel suddenly started to cough loudly Infinite looked at her face again and held her head. "Liarel?" He asked as he held her close

Liarel slowly and weakly opening her eyes looking at him. "Z-Zero..." she said lowly.

Infinite just looked at her before he bursted into tears pulled her into a kiss moving his arms around her before nuzzling into her neck, Liarel groaned in pain before she slowly moved her arms around him and nuzzling her face into his neck.

Sonic just smiled to seeing this the two were now free from Eggman and they could finally live how they wanted to.

Infinite soon pulled away before picking her up and standing. "I'm never losing you again." He said

Liarel smiled and nuzzled into him. "You never will lose me." She replied before she looked at Sonic and Shadra she smiled a little.

Infinite looked to them as well he didn't saw anything to them just giving Sonic a slight nod and the blue hedgehog did the same.
