Hatsune Miku the Vocaloid Book 1: Awaking

Feelings are new

chapter eight:

I walked in an endless blackness. Where am I? I blinked awake, the brightness of the sun, strained my eyes. The blinds were open,and a light wind made the curtains rolled like the water in a river. A white sheet laid over my body up to chest. I looked down at my body, my chest was wrapped, from under my armpits down to my bellybutton. Why is my chested wrapped? I countined to look around the room. It's was competely white, everything was white. From the pillows, to the walls. It was a pure white. There was a knock at the door. A nurse, Miss. Akita, and Dell had entered.

The nurse had pushed Miss. Akita next to my bed. "Miku, how are you feeling?" She asked.

I cleared my throat, "I'm fine, its just my chest hurts and my back."

"Ok, well at least you feel the pain." She smiled gently.

"What's that suppose to mean?"

"The virus had strikes you with poison while your back was turned, we were all afraid that you would feel anything at all. That would be a bad sign." Miss. Akita explained as she held her hands in her lap.

"Oh ok," I said as I blinked up at the ceilling. 

"I'll be leaving, nurse." she called, and she was rolled out of my room. I was alone in the room with slient Dell.

He finally spoke up, "You feel ok?"

"Yeah, I'm just sore." I said. For some reason with Dell in the room, it made me feel hot. Wait... I could I be blushing? No, I can't be. I looked over to him. He started to come close to my bed and pulled a chair next to it, and sat down. He's face was covered by his bangs. He looked cute. Wait?! Did I call him cute, no! 

"You know, you had evryone worried sick." He still didn't look at me. 

"Sorry," I said.

"It's ok," he lifted his head and showed me a soft smile. Then he put his hand on my head and rubbed my head like anime couples would do. Now I could see he was blushing. Awe it was so adorable! Then there was a knock at the door, and a bunch of Vocaloids rushed in. Dell moved back from my bed. 

"Awe was my baby brother Delldell having a moment with a girl," teased a woman who looked like him. She had long white pulled back in a low ponytail on her back, she also had red eyes just like Dell. 

"I was not!" Shouted Dell, he was blushing. 

"Delly has a crush! Delly has a crush!" Yuki was chanting this as she ran all over the room, trying to escape from Dell's hands. I started to laugh. 

The white haired woman came next to me, with Luka and the girl that looked like Len. "Hi I'm Yowane Haku, but please call me Haku." She smiled. "And this is Luka and Rin."

"Hi," said Rin.

"It's nice to see you again Miku," Smiled Luka.

"Ah that's your name!" Haku's eye's widen. "What a beautiful name, for such a beautiful girl. You sure will be perfect for Dell."

I started to blush. "Is it ok if I get up?" 

"Delly come here, your girlfriend  might ned your help to get up!" Rin hollered in my room. Everyone was laughing. 

"I'm not her girlfriend! Dammit." cursed Dell, I saw he was blushing as red as a tomato. "Why don't you help her?"

"I'll help her!" Teto's hands shout up in the arm as she voluntered. 

"Ok fine, just please help me get up," I sighed. Teto came over to me and helped me sit up. I thought I saw her blush, but maybe it was my imagaination. After that me and the rest of the Vocaloids were talking for what seemed like hours. Soon the Vocaloids had left my room, and I was once alone again. I didn't mind being alone this time, it gave me time to think. 

Why did I blush when Dell was here with me alone or when Haku said I was perfect for him? Do I really like him? Even if I did, how would I know he liked me back? So many question, so little answers. I layed back down in my bed and fell asleep. 

I woke up the next morning, I was back in my bedroom. I had gotton up out of my bed and went to take a bath. Laying in the bath I just watched the water ripple against my body, then I looked up to the ceiling. 

"Miku, are you going to be in the bath all day?" Called Mikuo.

"I'm getting out," I said. I got out of the bath, and quickly got dressed. Walking out of my bedroom, I saw Miku sitting on my bed with a hair dryer.

"Come sit, Let me dry your hair like when we were little." Mikuo smiled.

"Why do you want to do that again." I was trying not to sound rude, I was just curious.

"I never get to really see you anymore, with you being a Vocaloid doing all this important life saving thing, and with me still working full time. I feel like once in awhile I should do something for you."

"Ok," I said. I walked over to him and sat down on the floor. He had brushed and blow dryed my hair. It felt nice to have someone else do this for me. I felt like Mikuo was my parent not my brother, I wish someone would do this more. 

"There your done." 

I got up from  when I was sitting and went to the mirror. My hair was pulled up in pigtails, with pretty pink ribbons holding them. "Are these new?" I asked.

"Yup, I couldn't help but to buy them for you." I turned aroundd to face him. "Wow, you look beatuiful." 

"Thank you," I smiled. "I'm going out to show my friends my new ribbons."

"Ok, have fun!" Mikuo called as I left. I ran down to the 'park'. Most of the Vocaloids were there. 

"HI everyone." I smiled as I tworled around, making my hair flow.

"Someone looks happy." said Luka.

"Did my baby brother ask you out?" teased Haku. 

I blushed at what Haku said. "No, I got new ribbons from Mikuo." 

"Wow, nice," said Rin. "I wish Len would think like your brother. 

"Ours too." said Haku and Luka.

We countuined to talk about my new ribbons and about how stupid our brothers could be. Later in the day, I had saw Miss. Akita watching me. For some reason she was just watching me, not calling me to do something for her. Just wtching me. Weird. After awhile, I got up from my place with the girls and walked out to the hallway where she was. "Why are you watching me?" I finally asked.

She smiled at me. "I'm just surpried at you."

"What why?"

"You changed so much, in so little time."

"I changed?"

"Yes you did. At first you had no friends, and were very snappy at me. Also you were very timided, But now you have friends, your not always snapping at me, and you are a bit more out going."

"But what does that have to do with anything? People change all the time." I explained.

"It's just that your different." She counted to stare at me. "Also the other day you finally witness something that you never saw before."

"What was that?" I asked.

"You finally witness the love of a mother......"
