Minds Misadventures Part VII

As Ebony leaves the militia once again a distant "ROAR" is heardNobody thinks much of it, as one dragon isnt to big a deal, but little do they know it is an elder dragonThey start preparing the archers, ballistas, the normal defense protocols, but when the dragon first pops into sight, its clear this dragon isnt normal, with its purple and orange scales, and frost breath going for about a house lengthThey began to release guards and militia to combat this beast, but as it gets closer they know they will have troubleAfter it finally starts attacking, Mind and Kalken are sent. Mind uses a burst Flame spell, while Kalken uses a enchanted crossbowThey manage to fend of the dragon, but only for a few minutes, as it goes in again, sweeping through many guards and walls.The dragon uses its frost to immobilize the archers, while attacking the houses.Mind knows its getting desperate, so he runs up, jumps, and manages to mount the dragon.He stabs it in the nech and head area, but the scales are to thick, do he uses a spell to soften it, and then cuts through the dragon.The dragon senses his near end, so it slams through the healing stationKalken yells a loud "NO!!!" and the dragon finally falls.Kalken runs over to the toppled healing station, and searches desperately in the rubble, soon joined by MindThey vigorously dig through until they stop and see JaxHe weakly says"Ugh....Go.....Get the townspeople and guards to safety.... cough" Kalken pleads to Jax, but he insists Kalken to save the othersThough Mind doesnt like it, he runs off to the guardsKalken takes a deep breath, "It's been an honor," and runs offJax's eyes drift closed, and he goes motionless.
